  1. If you think that's high, try Cary. RCA: 3.0V; XLR: 6.0V. I do with the 840c had the same output voltage for RCA and XLR, though (like my old Esoteric).
  2. 90K mile checkup along with the lower control arm bushing replacement for my car.
  3. Never mind, I heard back from Cambridge Audio. For those that might be interested, RCA: ~2.1v; XLR: ~4.5v.
  4. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew the output voltage of Cambridge Audio Azur 840c? Oddly enough, the information isn't in the manual (or I'm an idiot and may have simply missed it) and I haven't heard back from Cambridge Audio about it.
  5. I looked through their site and I didn't see anything about balanced headphone amp.
  6. And lose gradually after you're done with school, at least in my case.
  7. Good luck on that one. GS-1 is a nice amp and $600 is a pretty good price.
  8. 3am? Jeebus, you're 6 hours ahead of me. I don't remember the last time I was still up at 3am.
  9. Chocolate mousse from my second attempt. Better than the first attempt (less Espresso powder this time) and I've gotten the texture to come out well both times. Next time, I think I'll use chocolate with less cocoa content.
  10. I will not comment on HR-2 since it's been ages since I've heard one. But at that price range (~$850), there are few other options, like GS-1 and HeadRoom Desktop (even possibly Desktop Balanced if you find one used). Also, the tube amp from Trafomatic is also in that range - here's the thread about it. Also, if you were buying new, both HeadAmp and HeadRoom offers some period in which you can return the amp if you don't like it.
  11. What is your source? Gilmore Lite tend to be rather honest in regards to your source, so if your source is on harsh or sterile side, that's what you will hear. I've never found it to be harsh or piercing in the highs, but YMMV. If you don't like it, you shouldn't have too much trouble selling it for little loss, especially if you can find it used.
  12. Mario Kart Wii and an extra Wii Wheel. Also, grocery for the week and more stuff to make chocolate mousse.
  13. Yeah, like having a listening room, even though it's on small side, is definitely a plus. Of course, we have to find a reputable contractor or two after the closing so we can take preventative measures on some minor issues. That should be fun (my family as a whole has had very bad experience with contractors).
  14. I think you're right on Chiefs, and they have two picks in the 3rd round from the Vikings. The Allen trade is looking really good right about now.
  15. I've been more or less following it. I'm glad that Pats have finally decided to add some young blood to their older-than-dinosaur linebacker corp, I think this is the first time since Katzenmoyer in '99 that they've used a first-day pick on a linebacker. Of course, time will tell whether Mayo works out for them, but at this point, I like the pick. There have been some surprises, like Joe Flacco getting picked in the 1st round. EDIT - Yeah, Mendenhall is a nice pick for the Steelers. One can never have enough quality backs these days.
  16. Thanks! Of course, it's also bit nerve-wracking, too. At least I know what I'll be doing on weekends for the foreseeable future.
  17. Yep. We're both excited and relieved about it at this point. Assuming the closing happens as scheduled, that'll give us two week overlap with our apartment, which is nice.
  18. Just signed a purchase & sign for a house (nothing big came up on the house inspection). The closing is in 3 weeks!
  19. Linky? I did a quick look-around and some searching, but couldn't find anything.
  20. I'm pretty sure his profile on HF used to have his birth year as 1970, but I could just be imagining that. As for having high IQ, it doesn't mean jack shit if one can't use it well. Time to go to Steve Hoffman to checkout the train wreck.
  21. Nice, but you are forgetting Doug's second requirement(boldfaced the section by me):
  22. I tried reading the thread over on HF, but I couldn't do it (it had expanded to 16 pages - it was in single-digit pages when I stopped reading it sometime yesterday). I take it morph201 hasn't answered why he's been posting e-mail from Jena Labs, or for that matter, why he has such e-mail from them?
