  1. Some Anti-Cable in bulk form.
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. IIRC, KGSS DX Edition, which had all sorts of upgrades, including BG caps, silver wiring, GoldPoint stepped attenuator, always-on bias power supply, and compact chassis, went for bit over $3K.
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. I wouldn't mind having some mass transit system that I can take to work either - I hate driving and I'd get more use out of my portable rig. Of course, I'm now only ~10 miles away from work so I may just get my bicycle tuned up and ride to work, at least while the weather is nice. Mine was $4.09/gal today. Still cost me $42 to fill up my tank - I'm really glad that my Civic continues to get great gas mileage (37-42 mpg).

Jebus, the damn thing weighs more than my power amp. Somewhat back on topic, I plan on trying out both anti-cables and 4S11 in my rig. At only bit over $1/foot, I won't be spending all that much even if I don't like one or both of them.
  7. I talked with my boss to go over the training plans for the two new teachers that will be in my classroom. Then proceeded to laugh about it a bit as the training never go as planned. Just gave one of my kittens some antibiotics (he's been sick) as instructed by our vet. Got my fingers/hand scratched and punctured by his teeth in the process.
  8. I fully expect pics of her tomorrow! Is she still a pup?

That's actually good to know - didn't know about that bit regarding the Anti-Cables. It looks like I'll be getting myself some 4S11.
  10. Salt Peanuts replied to tkam's topic in Speakers
Oh, I know. Thankfully, they haven't really shown too much liking to cables - yet.
  11. Salt Peanuts replied to tkam's topic in Speakers
Yeah, 4S11 is $1.17/foot from markertek. Anti-Cable is $1.25/foot, at least the last time I checked with them.
  12. That's why you're supposed to shave/clip your hair!

Speaking of speaker cables, anyone here has experience with both Canare 4S11 and Anti-Cables? I'm trying to decide between the two as they're both about the same price when bought in unfinished bulk.
  14. At least on my Luminous Audio Axiom, the difference on the output level is really noticeable.
  15. I miss my FiOS 20/5 package (was consistently getting 18-19/5) I used to have at my apartment. I didn't think I'd notice, but the difference in speed (I have Comcast now) is ridiculous.
  16. You're close - ~4.5v via XLR, and ~2.1v via RCA.
  17. Hey, at least you're not a Talky Bitch.
  18. I know it's not the same model, but for some reference, their 50 amp filter with 6 outlets retails for $2200 in US.
  19. Thanks, Todd! I was just about to post that the issues had mysteriously resolved.
  20. A new scratching post for the kittens. Really should have kept the one we had before.
  21. Happy Father's day!
  22. So suddenly, all the threads within each forum is showing up in alphabetical order instead of by their post date - is there option somewhere that I can change to fix that?
  23. That mirrors my past experiences with the DAC1 as well. Now if they did actually make some significant changes, I'd like to try it out.
