Only if the Menace comes with the cable. You're right, but I won't be using SB3 (at least on my main rig) since I can just have my iMac in the same room, though I'd need to get a fairly long Firewire cable in this setup (iMac > Duet > rest of my rig). In this scenario, SB3 will just get moved to the living room to be used there.

Cool. I'm thinking of selling my 840c and replacing it with Duet soon, since all 840c does is work as the DAC for my SB3. Also, selling 840c should net me enough money to get Duet and iPod touch or decent used receiver (for living room).

Did you ever end up contacting them, Nate? Also, those of you who've had Duet for a while, are you still liking it?

I recently picked up couple albums from Johnny Cash's American Recording series (specifically, III and IV). I was excited about it as I've been meaning to get them for a while. To my dissapointment, both albums sounded terrible, sounding really "hot" at many places with distortions. My questions is, are there good versions of the American Recording series? I really want to listen to them, but I just can't get over the distortions.

Maybe a problem with the oven in your new place?

Went out for breakfast followed by some grocery shopping. Replaced bunch of outlets and light switches with new ones, including GFCI outlets, in the bathroom and bedroom.

Watched The Dark Knight. Going out for a dinner at a new restaurant of the man who used to be head chef at our favorite Italian restaurant.

Now, if my memory serves me right (which is a bit suspect at this point), I believe Mikhail told Tyll couple of years ago (soon after HeadRoom went over the makeover) that HeadRoom is offering too many models and options for its own good. This was at the first Boston/NE meet I helped set up.
