Since I posted this on Thursday, Safari has been crashing at least twice a day on both of my Macs. I've had extensions enabled/installed on both, so I disabled them earlier today and it seems to be doing better now.
I think I'll send the link for the power strip to the IT department at my school. We've got many, many underutilized power strips as results of large plugs/power bricks.
Got my iPhone this morning and so far, no reception issue here. Haven't used enough 3G data to notice if there are any problems.

Yeah, I hear you on protecting the phone front. I must say the case selection for iPhone 4 sucks donkey balls right now. Hopefully, by the time I get mine (it's on backorder with AT&T right now), there'll be better choices.
