Also, that whole "combining the P-1u headphone amp and the D-05 (DAC section)" is not entirely accurate. The DAC and output section is supposedly pretty close to that of D-05, but the headphone amp section is an opamp-based one, unlike that of P-1u. Looking at the Japanese site, it looks more like a 2-ch USB DAC that they tacked on a headphone amp/out.

155400 JPY (~$1900). I don't know how Luxman prices their products out of Japan, though.

Hope you got your keys back fairly painlessly. The last time I did that with my old car, the AAA guy commented that my car (Civic) was one of the most difficult one to get into. I got my keys back, but the driver-side door got bent ever so slightly, resulting in noticeable increase in the road noise.

I tried it out, but had to stop using it as it started resulting in the repeated occurrence of pinwheel of death. I restarted the computer with the same result. Perhaps it's just my Mac (old Intel iMac with 3gb memory) not up to the task.

When I use my 4S, I usually use it straight out of an iPod. The caveat being I only use 4S now-a-days when I'm mowing a lawn, blowing leaves, or shoveling snow. I do remember them sounding really nice out of HR Desktop Portable amp.
