This thread is timely because one of my friends has been trying to shove DT down my throat lately (his favorite band). I agree with most of the posts here. To me it sounds like nothing but redundant scale runs that never end. There are some shining moments here and there, but overall it sounds like someone practicing etudes using the bass drum as a metronome. I'd much rather listen to Vai for technical mastery...even he can be a bit much, but he's much more interesting and varied. Count of Tuscany is the exception. I love that song. Unfortunately, its the only song they have that rises to that level. I will say their music is good for background listening while working out or driving. But overall, inconsequential for any serious listening for me. And I did give them a fair shot with many listens.

^ I know what you mean about online knuckleheads. It's the reason I'm on the fence about getting back into the whole FPS thing. I haven't played MW2 in 5+ months (or any game for that matter), and it's been kind of nice.

I'm surprised people actually care about the single player campaign. I always understood (maybe incorrectly) that BF3 and MW2(3) is all about MP. I'll wait for the dust to settle to see if this beats MW3.

I've always liked BF but ended up going the COD route which caused me to give up on BF. Now that Activision jacked the COD series up, I'm going the BF3 route.... soon as I upgrade my PC, which might be a while due to procrastination.
