Or in the gap between the asphalt driveway and the garage.....or up one of the drainpipes.....or in the plant/flower beds.....or by the concrete on bulkhead doors.....

Will probably upgrade to iPhone 6s when the time comes, using a 5s now. With me being more a PC guy for major work, I'll stick with that. Will get the new iPad (non-Pro) at some longer-term point to upgrade my iPad Air, though. I AM impressed by the releases overall, though. It's clear Apple sees both sides of the coin for tablets (consumer and pro/enterprise) and is trying to gain market. Getting more & more Enterprise-class apps on IOS (as well as OSX) will help....

Thanks for the notes, gents. Didn't even realize Berning was making a Micro-ZOTL 2. I owned the 1 for a while, was pretty darned nice. I even drove some Lowther's in a small room with it. The tech on that was interesting (but above my head); Berning did some neat things to bypass the need for a boatload of tubes in an OTL amp. EDIT: well, fuck....just ordered......

A nice night last night at a neighborhood party/get-together, followed up by a nice day today at a couple lakes in NH. Obligatory beer on friend's porch @ Blaisdell Lake, served up with 2 grilled pizza's with fresh ingredients and a nice pre-cooked dough. Prosciutto, cheese and caramelized grilled peaches on one, was that ever delicious! Later, a nice tour boat ride all around Lake Sunapee

RIP Dr. Sacks. Also from a couple days ago, RIP Al Arbour, hockey coach that led the NY Islanders to 4 straight Stanley Cups. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/29/sports/hockey/al-arbour-coach-of-islanders-1980s-dynasty-dies-at-82.html?_r=0 He also wore glasses as a player!

I actually meant consciousness (with some level of exaggeration). The guy was as close to unconscious as humanly possible while still able to walk and talk! It was so bizarre that i couldn't even get mad at him....
-
Ultimately, we laughed as well. It was a great study of human behavior, or the complete absence of emotion and just about any sense of consciousness!

RIP Justin and Bobby. So sad about Justin....and DAMN if my heart didn't skip a beat thinking about OUR Justin Wilson! I met Bobby once, what a passionate person he was. So very enthusiastic, and never stopped trying to get the best out of his speakers. I wanted to name one of my current pair of cats Merlin, in homage to his company. Got one of two - Gryphon, but not Merlin.

Nice, Jacob, good to have the connections. My wife just had a run-in with her old 3rd party VW service folks. Old owner sold it to lead mechanic, who has just run the place into the ground. Some questionable things, work done without authorization (though it would have been approved anyway, that's not the point). When my wife told me he kept on saying no (blankly) to her questions, I went in with her to pick it up. Damned if the guy didn't sit there and blankly say no some more, including the question "Don't you care about a 15-year customer who has questions or concerns?" So new repair service to be found, and this guy will likely be OUT of business very soon.
-
All the best from here as well, sorry to hear of the continued detours to getting fully better....
-
All of the above, repeated. Get Well Soon!

Wow, didn't realize she was all those roles! RIP Yvonne......

No one famous, but RIP to one of my oldest friend's dad, Irving Bieler. My mom and my friend Larry's mom have known each other since they were 13. Larry and I grew up in the same town until his family moved to MD when he was about 14 or so. We always kept in touch, and he moved around a fair bit, landing back here in MA once for a few years. Larry and I are 50. He lost his brother to cancer last year (I think his brother was only 1 or 2 years older). And he just lost his dad to cancer as well. So, RIP "Uncle" Irv, and fuck fuck fuck fuck you cancer!
