  1. A few days after dad....Happy Birthday!
  2. Many/most of us do, sorry; and there's parts of it you're not getting. A lot of it has to do with the fact that someone relatively new coming in, educated or not (and you do seem to have good experience with the Teton), and being as figuratively loud as you have been in this thread, is not looked upon so kindly here. Then the reaction to the reaction escalates it as well. I think you'll get on fine overall, I'd just recommend chilling a bit and enjoying the ride. None of us are perfect, but we're perfectly fine here.
  3. Incredible story, Wayne.... RIP Gary.
  4. Awesome video and pics above....! Me: spent Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) dinner with Karen and mother-in-law at her place's restuarant; we ended up with 2 others from the place who knew her. The wife is having some simpler memory issues but was very upbeat. The husband has major hearing issues but is an incredibly intelligent and funny man. He is 96, she is 89. What an interesting night! Turns out they spent a lot of time near where I grew up, and knew my grandparents, stepfather, and a cousin.
  5. RIP Moses.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. Don't see this on today's list...is this another time zone in Aussie thing? In any case, happy birthday! Or birthsay.....
  7. ^^^ Beat me to it, Grahame
  8. Or in the gap between the asphalt driveway and the garage.....or up one of the drainpipes.....or in the plant/flower beds.....or by the concrete on bulkhead doors.....
  9. Will probably upgrade to iPhone 6s when the time comes, using a 5s now. With me being more a PC guy for major work, I'll stick with that. Will get the new iPad (non-Pro) at some longer-term point to upgrade my iPad Air, though. I AM impressed by the releases overall, though. It's clear Apple sees both sides of the coin for tablets (consumer and pro/enterprise) and is trying to gain market. Getting more & more Enterprise-class apps on IOS (as well as OSX) will help....
  10. Wow, memories indeed Al.....RIP to both......
  11. Happy birthday! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  12. Picked this up this weekend, missed me some good ol' Cal-Punk.
  13. I like that sleeponlatex site, thanks. I think I'm going to order a pillow to try.....
  14. RIP Wes.....didn't always love his movies personally, but respected the heck out of him and his work.
  15. Thanks for the notes, gents. Didn't even realize Berning was making a Micro-ZOTL 2. I owned the 1 for a while, was pretty darned nice. I even drove some Lowther's in a small room with it. The tech on that was interesting (but above my head); Berning did some neat things to bypass the need for a boatload of tubes in an OTL amp. EDIT: well, fuck....just ordered......
  16. A nice night last night at a neighborhood party/get-together, followed up by a nice day today at a couple lakes in NH. Obligatory beer on friend's porch @ Blaisdell Lake, served up with 2 grilled pizza's with fresh ingredients and a nice pre-cooked dough. Prosciutto, cheese and caramelized grilled peaches on one, was that ever delicious! Later, a nice tour boat ride all around Lake Sunapee
  17. RIP Dr. Sacks. Also from a couple days ago, RIP Al Arbour, hockey coach that led the NY Islanders to 4 straight Stanley Cups. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/29/sports/hockey/al-arbour-coach-of-islanders-1980s-dynasty-dies-at-82.html?_r=0 He also wore glasses as a player!
  18. Happy Birthday! We're auditing your professed age.....
  19. So sorry Brent. RIP Joseph, way too young.....
  20. You're just eating into your profits
  21. I actually meant consciousness (with some level of exaggeration). The guy was as close to unconscious as humanly possible while still able to walk and talk! It was so bizarre that i couldn't even get mad at him....
  22. Ultimately, we laughed as well. It was a great study of human behavior, or the complete absence of emotion and just about any sense of consciousness!
  23. RIP Justin and Bobby. So sad about Justin....and DAMN if my heart didn't skip a beat thinking about OUR Justin Wilson! I met Bobby once, what a passionate person he was. So very enthusiastic, and never stopped trying to get the best out of his speakers. I wanted to name one of my current pair of cats Merlin, in homage to his company. Got one of two - Gryphon, but not Merlin.
  24. Nice, Jacob, good to have the connections. My wife just had a run-in with her old 3rd party VW service folks. Old owner sold it to lead mechanic, who has just run the place into the ground. Some questionable things, work done without authorization (though it would have been approved anyway, that's not the point). When my wife told me he kept on saying no (blankly) to her questions, I went in with her to pick it up. Damned if the guy didn't sit there and blankly say no some more, including the question "Don't you care about a 15-year customer who has questions or concerns?" So new repair service to be found, and this guy will likely be OUT of business very soon.
