I've got an iPad and a laptop, each has fit different needs & uses very well. The only thing I want to try at some point is the Cisco VPN client my company uses, along with the App that allows Remote Desktop to Windows machines. That would save some space on the occasions I travel.....been too lazy recently to set them up though. But for so many things, iPad and keyboard is just fine and dandy.

The only time I saw J&MC in concert, some band no one had heard of opened for them and blew them away. After the show, my buddy and I, along with about 6-7 other faces we recognized from the show, were all at Tower Records in Boston buying NiN's Pretty Hate Machine. Still love J&MC's music though.....

Oh, man, loved him and that show. RIP Chuck.....

RIP Joni.....too young..... And RIP to an unknown to most, but a big part of my college and post-college years: John Lever, drummer for the band Chameleons UK and a bunch of others. One of the hardest hitters I've known. Got to meet him a couple years ago, great gent who just loved music.

Wow, didn't see that either....RIP! I had read a good bit about his club The Bitter End, help launch quite a few careers.....

Some Hi-Rez yummage: Cowboy Junkies Trinity Sessions (DSD) and Livingston Taylor Safe Home (24-192) Trinity is even moar awesomer than other versions I've heard. Safe Home is excellent sounding, but for the first time - and I've seen and liked Livingston Taylor over many years - I didn't like some of the arrangements/singing. Still great overall, but I miss the "spark" that he brings to live shows.

Spent about $3500 for an AirBnB reservation. Oh wait, no that wasn't ME, but someone using my CC number. Cancelled card, new one coming tomorrow; charge will come off. Think it is just this, not bigger fraud. But will keep an eye out and check credit agencies. Does anyone know how to "decode" an AirBnB charge reference on the Credit card? It says: AIRBNB * #XXXXX (where the #XXXXX is a number and 5 letters). Want to see if I can at least find out a bit about where the thief is going.....

RIP. Amazing story indeed.....

So my son Andrew has been accepted to his 4 top schools, with great merit from 2, OK from 1, and we were waiting to hear from 1 (Clarkson, his top choice). Clarkson Financial letter came today, and at first it was disappointing, showing a decent but 3rd lowest amount in 2017, same in 2018, and then nothing beyond. THEN, we read more closely: FALL of 2017 and SPRING of 2018..... It turned out to be the highest of all the schools so far for a year, renewable for the 3 additional years as long as he maintains grades. WOOOOOO-FUCKING-HOOO are we psyched!!! The Hermit Boy even agreed to go out to a celebratory dinner with us So fucking proud.....he did this.....had some help to coordinate, but he did it.....

Ouch.....good luck, give 'em hell! Just sorry you even have to go through this crap.

RIP Judge Wapner. I didn't watch Peoples' Court a lot, but he seemed so much better than the Reality-Drama Court TV on now. My favorite ever episode featured a couple members of the band Surf Punks. Sadly, they lost, as they didn't take things seriously.
