I love Oingo Boingo. Saw them twice in my life, the second time was great but there were a series of younger kids (Gen-X'ers types? Spoiled White suburban kids? Not sure) who decided to make a mosh pit and ruin some others' times with excessive behavior. Venue personnel had to come in multiple times to help calm things. Back in MY day of mosh pits, kids RESPECTED each other and picked them up after slamming them! Darn kids these days.....!

RIP Walter, a wonderful note from Mr. Fagen. Also RIP, from back in June: Don Garber, creator and manufacturer a.k.a. Fi Audio. He made some unorthodox tube gear. I am not one to judge technical merits on gear, but I will say that - having heard some beautiful music through one of his higher end preamps and amps driving a large Tannoy system some years ago - it nearly brought me to tears.....

^^^ Thought the same thing when I watched/listened to a couple songs on youtube.....but still has much of the melodic impact as classic OMD.

RIP to Tobe Hooper, director of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. When I was in college, I took a film course taught by a funky lady who just loved cinema. I let her borrow my tape of that movie and she loved it! Well, at least many of the techniques....

Agree with Reks. I had heard the M2 and M3, and even though the C-series are a step lower, the sound quality is still pretty darn good IMO. A lot of that proverbial tickle-down.... The only thing I might possibly worry about is parts quality and durability. Haven't heard as much recently, but in years past the non-Master series (and heck, even some of the Master series) had some medium- to long-term QA issues. But I'd still bet the new C-series are great.

Trying to one-up the proverbial Jones'? Best 'o' luck, hope both procedures go/were OK
