That is awesome looking Steve! Having seen the "before" I can only imagine how much work that is. It will be stunning though! Ozgur, work hard, don't become like me

Parents' Weekend at Andrew's college. Karen and I get up nice and early, get down and see a couple presentations (we really like this school and the President is just fantastic!). At around 10am Andrew answers Karen's text; he'll meet us at 12:30 in the dining hall. He comes in after we sit, answers a few questions with one-or-two-word answers. Then we bring some supplies to his room, and head home for a family dinner for the Jewish New Year. Still the same boy, he's doing very well though. Likes the school, working hard, and has met a solid group of kids to call his friends. They are even talking about trying to get into a suite next year, but chances may be slim. Good to have him home a few hours, even though he still stays behind closed door for the most part. Missed him....

I just got that, but haven't listened. After family stuff tonight and tomorrow morning, I will do just that......

None that I talk about Just some sniffs, throat clears, and coughs.....but then I get a bit paranoid about handshakes, touching things that others then touch, etc. Allergies have been annoying this season, had several bouts of these symptoms. I usually am good with OTC stuff, did more of the sprays this season but they usually helped. Didn't seem to make a difference this time, though, so thinking something lingered.

A great time indeed! But I have to apologize, what I thought was allergies may be a slight cold I'm fighting.....even after allergy meds I still have a tickle in my throat and some congestion. Hoping I didn't pass anything to anyone!

I had heard of the Petrov story, but not the details around....RIP, hope someone like him is still around!

Sorry to hear CJ, hope things can be resolved OK.....!! Just processed Credit Freezes with my wife tonight. Still looking into further services. AAA offers free and cheap options if you are a member. The free option covers one agency monitoring plus some extras, but combined with the freezes may be fine for us. The "full" version is under $10/month. AARP, Sam's Club, etc., also have, but best to check online for ratings/reviews.

Be safe, and please let us know all is OK when you can. My nephew lives in Tampa with his girlfriend. He is up in NY right now, but the GF is still down in Tampa. Sister-in-law said the place they are in has plans (structural and assistance) in place to help against the hurricane and help further if needed. But still not ecstatic with her there.....

Good that you got involved to help, Ozgur, but please be careful.....it sounds like the guy was decent enough not to beat up the woman despite the size difference, though, so that's a possible good sign... Hope it all ends up OK.....

Another thanks for checking in, Al. Especially Gene, miss him. Sending all best thoughts to H-C'ers and all in the path.....

I love Oingo Boingo. Saw them twice in my life, the second time was great but there were a series of younger kids (Gen-X'ers types? Spoiled White suburban kids? Not sure) who decided to make a mosh pit and ruin some others' times with excessive behavior. Venue personnel had to come in multiple times to help calm things. Back in MY day of mosh pits, kids RESPECTED each other and picked them up after slamming them! Darn kids these days.....!

Wow, thank goodness the Bubba L Test I know, 123457, was OK.....! And wholeheartedly yes, Jacob, throw the fucking books at the exec's who knew and took advantage!

Wow, I was wondering what your sad face in the "listening now" thread meant.... RIP, one of the pioneers!

If they let Gays be Saints, Steve, I'm nominating you! Awesome stuff, so heartening to read/hear!

RIP Walter, a wonderful note from Mr. Fagen. Also RIP, from back in June: Don Garber, creator and manufacturer a.k.a. Fi Audio. He made some unorthodox tube gear. I am not one to judge technical merits on gear, but I will say that - having heard some beautiful music through one of his higher end preamps and amps driving a large Tannoy system some years ago - it nearly brought me to tears.....

^^^ Thought the same thing when I watched/listened to a couple songs on youtube.....but still has much of the melodic impact as classic OMD.

RIP to Tobe Hooper, director of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. When I was in college, I took a film course taught by a funky lady who just loved cinema. I let her borrow my tape of that movie and she loved it! Well, at least many of the techniques....

Unless I missed it on your own forum, Happy Birthday!

Glad Steve and mom are OK, but sad to hear the home news. Indeed, please let us know what we can do to help.
