Very Happy Birthday!

Fuck in snow
Nate, how does that electric handle the heavier, wet snow. We usually have a plow service for our driveway, and I handle the remaining with a shovel. I was thinking about an electric blower, but have read they don't do the heavy wet snow as well....

Fuck in snow
Getting ready for the "one-two" punch this weekend. Expecting 2-3" of snow this morning, then Sunday into Monday a larger batch of perhaps up to 8", TBD. Good luck to all in the paths of these.....

The Live Music Thread
That is awesome, Al! When I used to be a regular on Facebook, some pals had lists of favorite concerts. For me in those early to mid-80's days, I was thick in the "New Wave/Alternative" thing. Some of my favorite shows included The Cramps (great fun party-type band, I must have seen them 5 or 6 times), and The Stranglers (long story, but got to meet the band, take one of them to a local radio station for interview, and spent some time backstage after the show). But SO many great bands in the day, including some no-name band that opened for Jesus & Mary Chain and BLEW them away....I and perhaps 8-10 others ran to Tower Records after that show to pick up that no-name opener's CD: Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails. I had saved a few ticket stubs from then, think i did clean up and threw some out but wonder if I still have any left over.....
- Happy Birthday Al!

I replied to a gent on H-F, a nice old-timer I remembered, who asked me about my experience with the DSHA3F. Hoping it resulted in another order.....! (Very late edit: it did!)

I don't have an HD800 or variant anymore....but I have tried an HD600 with balanced cable on the DSHA3F. Maybe not perfect, and indeed as Doug says maybe a little thin....but still quite nice.

RIP someone or another
RIP Peter Magowan. Didn't even know of him, but big respect to someone who fights to keep a team in a local market, especially if that market can easily support the team.

As a DSHA3F owner, I can say with general reservedness that I'm fucking ecstatic with mine! For both the Utopia and the Clear, I have heard no better amp.

RIP someone or another
RIP Jessica....seemed like quite a lady..... Makes me think of all the people in our lives, the ones we meet who make even a small difference. I think back on things, even back to High School, and people who weren't "in" my life, but who made some impact on me....
