  1. Happy Birthday Dan!
  2. Well, tickety-boo, that sounds pretty cool.....enjoy!
  3. Dang.....I wonder if you can partition it and do RAID 1 Mirror - that would be great instead of my Synology NAS......otherwise I'd have to buy two
  4. Happy Birthday Al! Age a day now, celebrate later.....
  5. RIP to my sister-in-law Carol.....a wonderful, silly, generous, smart, sometimes neurotic woman who loved her family, especially her two kids, more than I thought humanly possible. Had been having epileptic seizures off and on, meds weren't fully helping; usually seizures in sets of two when they came. She and my brother were in Florida visiting my older nephew. Apparently last night she had two seizures but then a third, went back to bed after, and never woke up. I'm going to miss you horribly....may your love shine down from heaven.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Happy Birthday, Saint Steve!
  8. Happy Birthday! And like Dusty said, hope you are doing well!
  9. About to head off to Andrew's college to pick him up, thanks to the flu and a 5-day excused absence. Sucks for the boy, and likely for us as well....
  10. Happy Birthday Stephen, hope it's a great one!
  11. Man, wishing good healing to all injured H-C'ers!
  12. RIP Johann.....
  13. I like Melody, she crosses a few lines between (mostly) Jazz, with some Blues and Pop sounds......
  14. ....and with matching pants! Congrat!
  15. What an interesting story! RIP Naomi....
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. RIP to a family friend's son Jake. Not 100% sure of age, think early 30's. Parents are incredible folks who adopted two kids, both of whom had inherited mental issues from birth parent(s). Older daughter went through some deeply troubled times, drugs and sex. Now is more settled, back with parents, and single mom holding down a job but still a bit tenuous. Son was a sweet big lump of a kid in the years I knew and saw him. But also had issues as he got older, never finished High School, was barely holding down a landscaping job. Met this cunt of a woman who got him hooked on several drugs including heroin, and had a kid with him. Woman had I think 3 other kids taken away from her by the state, and spent some time in jail while married to Jake. The kids got kicked out of their low-income apartment due to rent non-payment, and his parents ended up getting legal custody of the child (who BTW has Cystic Fibrosis) while in their 60's. Apparently Jake and wife were driving, Jake asked to be dropped off as he didn't feel good and wanted to walk back in the fresh air. Hours later, having not found his way to where they were staying, wife calls police. Someone had found Jake just leaning over a fence, dead. Autopsy to come, but they think overdose given his history especially with her. So RIP to one of the victims who never got the help he needed, and became just another statistic. Fuck drugs, fuck mental illness, fuck the systems that don't help these people; and fuck the cunt who got him hooked and took him off even the lowest rung of the ladder.
  18. Even as a Pats fan, I agree Philly deserved this. Sad, but not horribly upset. And of ALL the people who I think deserved it, Nick Foles tops that list. Talk shows in NE are all over the "end of the era" discussions now.....TBD what happens, some very fishy things went on (like Malcolm Butler, NE's best/second best cornerback, not getting any defensive snaps). Meanwhile, Brady didn't go down in flames so much, the defense and team as a whole did. Brady had a fucking amazing game, breaking records for Super Bowl numbers for a QB. The defense was what took a collective shit, against a very underrated but good Philly offense. Party hearty, Philly, enjoy what should be a good team for years!
  19. And did he save $ on your insurance?
  20. Design aside, it's pretty scary that build quality is likely better on that then the real Cavalli amps!
  21. Oh, fuck fuck fuck. Have loved the Fall for many a year, saw them and Luxuria (Howard Devoto, ex of Buzzcocks) some years back, what a show! And my first job out of college, I used to sing Fall songs walking down the hall. One of the secretaries used to finish my line for Cruiser's Creek all the time....and a co-worker doing the drumbeat for Eat Y'Self Fitter....too many (really stupid but fun) memories.... I read about his final interview, and loved his answer to this: Who would play you in a film of your life? "Rip Torn. Oh, he’s dead isn’t he? I’d really like a dwarf. I like things like that." Cue the dwarf.....RIP to one of my favorites. And RIP to Jim Rodford...obviously won't gush like I just did above, but lots of great output from him!
  22. Joe Frank, interesting! RIP..... And massive RIP to Hugh Masekela.....did SO much to help Africa, politically and musically!
  23. Wigle doesn't seem to have a great fan base, unless you're from hometown of Pittsburgh. One of the reviews used the word "stale" twice, not too endearing.... Read a couple reviews of Barrell and it seems interesting, if a bit strong/potent.....may be pricey for what it is though. Did you get what batch it was?
