  1. ^^^ Same boat, Wayne. Not as many DVD's but maybe 3-3.5K CD's. Need to also organize my vinyl better too, though that's probably ~1k pieces....
  2. When I started researching a couple years ago, there some sleeves like THESE that were cheaper, but can't remember where I had found them..... If you want the organization and don't mind that price, it's great. Maybe you can shop around and find better prices.
  3. Another option is to look at storing them without the jewel cases, just in sleeves. A lot of upfront work, and the cost is a smaller cabinet along with a whole bunch of sleeves that can store/display the covers. Digipaks, box sets, and special format CD's are the exception. I investigated this some years ago, got a fair amount that I'd like to keep but save some space. And yet another option is to just get several binders with pages/sleeves that can hold the CD and cover/insert. But bottom line, I'd recommend losing the jewel cases.....and to Doug's point, sell off or donate what you don't really want. Now, if only I could take this advice....!
  4. Great steps, nice to hear. Wishes for continued good fortunes!
  5. RIP Uncle Bob, condolences to you and family.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. RIP to a dapper and pioneering writer and person!
  8. That makes me sad....she did well for herself, yet faced a lot of hardships. Overcame so much with her bipolar disorder. RIP Margot......
  9. Bravo, Tyll! Much has already been said, but 1) thank you, and 2) ENJOY!
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. I learned the hard way not to count Tampa out....they started to show up in the third. But Washington is very different from Boston. As I watched, I realized I REALLY want Washington to win this series, despite not having any real dislike for Tampa.
  12. ^^ My son was dying to hear this, I wonder if he liked or was disappointed. He'll be seeing them this summer I believe.....
  13. ^^^ What he said.... Someone on one of the Hockey Boards posted a rant, and part of his joy of seeing Nashville out was (some paraphrasing) the "day after fucking day of all these fucking country stars coming out to sing for HOCKEY.....seriously, this ain't fucking NASCAR....."
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. FAKE NEWS! Either FB or H-C is telling us wrong info! But Happy Birthday Ari, whenever it may be!
  16. Happy Slightly Belated Birthday!
  17. Pens have won twice now, and Ovie deserves it....so happy for the Caps, especially to get over that big hump that plagued them for years. Now I hope they don't have a letdown. Caps vs. Lightning should be a good series, Caps have the physical presence and more depth than the Bruins (B's showed remarkable depth all season, but that depth that was not "playoff-ready" yet; whole different game at that time). Would love to see Caps in the final, playing either Winnipeg or Vegas. New Blood! Still excited to watch the games, even without my home team in.
  18. Winnipeg looks exciting for sure, I hope they make it to the finals. On one of the online forums, we've exchanged pleasantries with their posting fans, who see quite knowledgeable and friendly. Wish I could say the same for excitement about the Bruins.....they got robbed in Game 4 on a non-call of a penalty that immediately led to a tying goal, and then lost in OT. But at the same time, aside from game 1 and some of game 4, they have been outplayed. The fact they stuck in it, and got some horrible ref calls & missed calls, just sours it some for me. I respect the hell out of Tampa Bay, but the officiating (in this and most other games) has been horrid.
  19. I'm not even a big basketball fan, but I chuckled when Philly blew their confetti cannons, thinking 76'ers won on a shot with less then 2 seconds left in regulation. Then realized it was only a 2-pointer, not 3, and they were going to OT....where the Celtics won. If the Celtics go onward (likely, they are 3-0), they will likely lose handily in the next round. But even as a non-fan, very proud of what the team has done with the injuries of big-time starters. Good on the coach, new kids, and bench players.
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. It's too bad it's Sony.....they have a check to disable burned ISO's.....otherwise that would be my suggestion. A friend tested out a couple discs on his NAD M-series SACD player, worked like a charm.
  22. So apparently hockey interest has waned quite a bit here, but wanted to start a thread for the playoffs, round 2 and on. Liking the Bruins, they were so much fun to watch this year and just got out of the first round. Toronto just matched up very well with them, and I'm hoping the regular season match-up with the Lightning carries into this series. Just finished watching the Caps & Pens game, glad Caps won this. Series will be great to watch, some great skill, physical play, and genuine dislike going on here. As a Bruins fan, hoping the Bruins get to the next round, I want to see this series go 7 games and get them all tired out Happy also to see SJS tie up the series with Vegas, though I think Vegas will go on to win the series.... And WPG and Nashville series should be exciting, two talented, fast, and strong teams.....
  23. Hate to say it, I'm with you Dusty. I think some of these will catch like earworms, but usually if there's more of a novelty aspect like (as you suggest for slight similarity) Die Antwoord..... Always like Tracey Thorn, though......solo or in EBTG......
  24. RIP to one of our cats, Gryphon "Diablo" Just got back Saturday from 2 weeks in Australia, and while we knew he had some issues, it turned out to be a large and aggressive tumor of some sort. According to our neighbor watching the house and cats, the "eaten" food amount dropped significantly on Thursday. We took him in today, got the bad news; then I got Andrew at school so he could say goodbye. Pics from when we first got him (he's the tuxedo cat), and a couple years ago. RIP bud.....
