Happy Birthday!!

Another Mazzy Star fan....RIP Dave...... There's a nice live video on YT of Fade Into You as well.....

And does Dunhill like the Sennheiser's? 🙂 Just a lovely kitty, looks a bit like one of my previous cats, Gryphon. I really like tuxedo coloring.....

When I was recently binging on Throbbing Gristle, threw in some Psychic TV and Coil too.....was cool to hear the parts that tied them together, but also the progression of each band.

Very Happy Birthday!!

^^ The Misunderstanding is one of my favorite OMD tracks! Love that album! EDIT: I have set up a temp little system with the DAC I got from Jim, and have been playing album after album from Throbbing Gristle. Started, and just can't stop. Mmmmmm.....Slug Bait, Maggot Death, Hamburger Lady.....so much awesome noise!

Happy Birthday!!

Very Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday!

I respectively disagree, Jose. I definitely like the orange component slightly better than the white component 😃

^^^ Those need the orange grills to match her dress.....

I work in an office in a building where there are also 3 or 4 other companies. Yesterday, our doorbell rings. The people who normally answer were out in a group meeting, so I and one other went to the door, to find a flower delivery man. My colleague is saying that the name doesn't sound familiar as I'm walking up. But he's newer, and may not know everyone, so I ask the name. Flower man tells me, and I say, "Hmmmm, not here, but I actually used to work with someone by that name....." [though it was a different spelling for first name]. Anyway, flower man checks one other company on our floor, not there....so I decide to help, and check it out on LinkedIn. Ah, OK, she works in the company downstairs....and then, I realize it IS my old colleague (and I had the spelling of her first name, Stacey, with no "e" in my mind)! So I went down to see her, but she was stuck in meetings. She contacted me online, we'll get together next week.... Haven't worked with her since 2002/2003, and then last saw her maybe 2.5 years ago at a concert during a Summer Folk Festival in Lowell MA.....and I find out she's been working on the floor below me for over a year! Small fucking world......

Hmmmm....methinks the "porn" is getting a little low-budget....😃

Hey all, as a follow-up on my posts, Aumkar and team sent me a new headband assembly; just received today and it looks much nicer!

^^ I still choke up a bit every fucking time I listen to that album......!

Happy Birthday! Calls for moar toyz!

Heck Shelly, I'd be super-loving too if I got spare ribs 😄 Adorable, though!!

RIP Kirk......

Oh, man, RIP Andy.....several friends listened to Gang Of Four, but their appearance in the movie "URGH! A Music War" got me into them more. So many great songs, such a unique sound. "What We All Want" used to play in my head SO much!

^^ Also made me realize that the speakers are not that large! Looking at them standalone (or less carefully in other pictures), they look bigger. Either that or your cat is huge! 😊

I think they'll do their best to improve. There are admittedly some corners that may be cut for $500. I think that the more I listen, the less I'll be bothered by the imperfections/issues.

Premium has a longer cord and supposedly better packaging. It IS a nice wood box with acrylic top and a badge. I got that because I had the $ to spend and it was the only one in stock. They claimed the scratch in the earcup was likely from shipping, but not sure....it looked like it was well-protected, at least that spot....and it didn't quite line up with anything that looked like it would scratch it. Some pics of my nicks and such below.

I did pick one of these up....unfortunately have not had SO much time to listen, but first impressions and maybe 10-15 hours worth are good. Great bass, soundstage, and top to bottom balance. Some musicality/transparency I still like a little bit better with SR-007 Mk II, but this is no slouch at all! My complaints were that the workmanship can be improved. Mine came with several marks or imperfections on the metal portions of the headband and related, and one ugly mark on one of the earcups. For the $, though....it is REALLY nice!
