  1. ^^^ Yes, try to train them early to scratch only that which should be scratched ?
  2. This is the best if you can do it, some hardwire and access points....I still may try to do this slightly cheaper, I was quoted almost $4k for a pro install including a rack and equipment in our basement. But I do have some cable wires going up an inside wall, routed through closets on my first and second floor, and then into my attic and back down. I should be able to use that snake route and pay a lot less. Just never prioritized it as my Eero's are working well enough.
  3. The Linksys Velop system is getting some pretty good press, never tried it though. I use Eero series 1 at home (combined with an 8-port wired-only router), and Google mesh at my condo. All around good performers, and got good deals on them; I have bought a few used Eero's at good prices to expand even further (basement, enclosed deck/porch, etc.). I think overall throughput can be bettered though by other brands, or the second gen Eero. Both brands had simple installations, both are pretty foolproof. If you want to get into deeper configurations, they may not have that flexibility (like controlling the different bands separately, for example). My 2 cents....
  4. RIP Mr. Evans.....quite the character. Marathon Man was one of the first movies I saw that I liked as much as the book....
  5. This is un-fucking-believable! x2^n on the safe wishes.....
  6. Been listening to this a lot since seeing them a couple weeks ago.... Also listened to this a few times, strong and a bit funky....
  7. That looks like Gryphon electronics on top....that's how we named one of our cats (Gryphon Diablo).
  8. Happy Birthday!!

  16. My oldest brother had a ton of music, my early years were definitely influenced by him. He had some Ozark Mountain Daredevils that I do remember liking....but never really got into them on my own. Still, RIP Steve.....
  17. Cowboy Junkies last night, at a nice theater near the town in which I grew up. In all the years I liked them (and used to lust and love after Margo Timmins in their early days), had never seen them before and it was a great experience. And while they (we all) have aged....they were still so beautiful and so cool. The only negative was some folks in front of me, a bit down the row, that were talking loudly and one was on her phone a lot. I actually took a moment to chew them out quietly but ultra-firmly, getting a pat on the back from the guy immediately behind them.
  18. I just downloaded the Fela Kuti live album with Ginger Baker, hope to listen soon.....too many social things planned by the wife, it's tough trying to be a reclusive social hermit! ?
  19. I just finished Beware of Mr. Baker.....a lot I didn't know......great watch......
  20. Oh, man.....RIP Ginger.....
  21. So somber yet lovely....it almost makes me want to cry.....
  22. Actually enjoyed this a bit! Thought it would be way over-the-top a la William Shatner, but it was kind of regular music. The difference was I really liked the song selection, some great New Wave from the 80's - Echo & The Bunnymen, Lords Of The New Church, Jesus & Mary Chain - as well as other hits from 70's onward. Nothing really special, but just enjoyed hearing the songs.....
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. Happy Birthday!
  25. RIP Joseph Wilson. Also admired his desire to do the right thing. Showed (once again) a very nasty side of politics, with everything he and his wife had to endure....
