Thanks Doug. No "argument" per se from me....many of them I'd choose as well, would indeed change the order of some. But everything is just an opinion, this one just expressed in an more public article.
  2. Got to see (again) my favorite band, The Chameleons. My son joined me for this one. Two of the original members, plus an extremely talented 3 other musicians. This was the best I think I've seen them since the full group reunion in 2000/2001. Just an amazing show, my son agreed. They had incorporated some keyboards into some of their music, and usually didn't tour with a keyboard player. This time they did, and it added a great extra layer of sound/ambience to many of the songs. Interesting tidbit more for local music fans: the second opener was a band called Lovina Falls. The singer was the lead singer of a 90's dream-pop type band in Boston called Mistle Thrush; I have a couple of their CD's. I was today years old when I found out the current Chameleons drummer was the drummer for Mistle Thrush! Spoke to the lead singer about it after the show, she couldn't stop praising him; and was so happy to open for the Chameleons - she's apparently a good fan. Lovina Falls and Chameleons
  3. What an awesome ending! Glad things are looking so great, Steve. And big thanks to and kudos for for Al and family/friends #NFLO!!!!
  4. Every now and then I put this on, Bjork with a backing Jazz Band. Really lots of fun and pretty good music! One of my favorite songs
  5. ^^ Funny you say that, Steve! I remember greatly playing Animals on 8-track. With all the longer tracks on the album, they decide to break tracks on the shortest, Pigs On The Wing. And maybe it WAS a good idea, that being my (and my brothers') least favorite song.....
  6. Fantastic insight Mike!! I have always loved this album as well....
  7. Not from Turkey but maybe a better shooter?
  8. Happy Birthday Todd! Someone had sent this to me maybe 2 years ago, and literally I re-found the link yesterday and had a bit of a chuckle watching. Impeccable timing!
  9. Belated Happy Birthday!!
  10. <Johnny Cochran Voice> If a hat on the head don't dent, you must not be Brent! <\Johnny Cochran Voice>
  11. Very Happy Birthday Antonio!
  12. Love most of their albums! Thanks Taylor for reviving them 🤣
  13. Another one in the "this is stupid but I still love it" category
  14. Pretty much all of my music at home and in Maine goes through Roon. Pi-based players, standalone speakers (Elac, BluSound, KEF), and a bunch of other gear. It's just so easy, and you can play around with EQ per endpoint as well.... I'm still on the annual plan, but should see about lifetime at this point.
  15. I would definitely recommend Jimmy's Birthday Party as well....earlier live recording, but love it!
  16. Yup....not a fun day at work....and I wasn't in the exact middle at my company, just more on the periphery.....
  17. This was one of the best TV series endings ever.....
  18. Very cool, Jim! And yes, the new unit is a great price. The previous units could be bettered by a cheaper NUC running Roon Rock for about 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Smart of Roon to recognize and deal with that. I use a NUC at home with a 2TB internal SSD, and a NUC in Maine with a 3TB (I think) external drive. Both work well and as you say come up quickly and easily after shutdown or power loss.
  19. Went to take a shower today, and a very young mouse was visiting in my tub😮 Should have taken a pic, very cute little thing. Put it in a box with air holes until I could take my shower and put it outside. The dichotomy of our reactions: Karen: "Oh, gross, we need to get rid of it and any others...." Todd: "It's SOOO cute, we should get a habitrail and keep him...." 🤣 I did let him outside, but fear he's too small to survive on his own. And we got some no-escape traps to see if others are here and can be captured. I also plan on getting some humane packages of those mint or other deterrents....
  20. So cute, and awesome of you to adopt an adult! Hope she brings you many years of happiness!
  21. I literally listened to that song last night, part of "The Morning Lasted All Day: A Retrospective" album. Oddly (or maybe not) there was something I just loved in that video about Lara St John as she grooves while doing the chorus....
