  1. RIP James and Tony!
  2. I liked Boy when it came out, and up until about a year ago had thought "A Day Without Me" was about Ian Curtis' death. But it was made known they played it live well before his suicide. I have actually never seen them live though.....

Oh, man, that's sad and incredible.....ALMOST worse than if he passed away.....very sorry to see that!
  4. That's just additional room treatment. Sedans are more laid back, SUV's a little forward in the mids, and 4x4's bass heavy.
  5. Happy Birthday!! And sorry
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Happy Birthday Peter!
  8. Happy Birthday Iain!
  9. Happy Birthday! Come on around a bit more!
  10. This is awesome stuff Dan! Need to listen more, I had been listening a fair bit to SomaFM via Roon, but your selection seems much cooler 🙂
  11. Was Mikey's comment a REAL request or a (good) pun? In any case, it's always fun to read these, so I'm happy with it pinned.
  12. Happy Birthday!!!
  13. ^^ Used to be for me too, but I bought a small multi-function travel router/range extender on sale, and I use that now with the Pecan Pi or my Ropieee box.....gives better reception too than standard Pi with no dongle.
  14. A friend from High School posted this on FB, I love it, so awesome! One of my favorite Cramps' songs....
  15. She's apparently been around for several years.....4 albums since 2015....very NY arty-freaky Listened to some on youtube; she has an album called IRISIRI, a palindrome (we were trying to remember that word when Dusty introduced us to Tacocat).
  16. Downloaded a new Raspberry Pi (v4 model B only) music OS, VitOS. Looks like it might be a good Pootie Pi option.... Has a tablet/phone device app for control. http://www.thunder-data.com/vitos-for-rpi4 Hope to try it this weekend.
  17. RIP Mr. Nash.....
  18. I wanted to put this to a meme, but I'll just leave it out there for your own imagination....
  19. Yup.....this. RIP Eddie.....
  20. Damn, I'm telling Karen to return mine now! 😃 Saw this on FB, causes chuckles
  21. RIP Helen.... And just heard Mac Davis too....also 78 like Helen. I never realized he wrote In The Ghetto for Elvis.....
  22. Not a celebrity, but a great guy and unique character. I worked with Dan B for 3-4 years, he was a Project Manager in IT. Bright, outgoing, almost always a positive attitude but had a sarcasm streak a mile wide in smaller/more comfortable groups. I often use the Dr. Evil saying "How about NO, you crazy Dutch bastard) in reply to someone asking for something they won't get....that practice started with Dan when he embarrassingly asked me (on behalf of the business users) if we could change what we just worked on for almost 6 months so they could do it another way. I showed him that video clip, and we had a great laugh.... A bunch of us from that company (the survivors as we call ourselves) keep in touch via regular gatherings and now Zoom calls. Dan would always gently bow out (he was farther away, and often very busy). The first picture below is from a long-term friend, and the later one is more how I knew him. Not sure of cause yet....but still too young!! RIP Dan, another one of the good guys gone....
  23. Happy Birthdays to yous!
  24. ^^ Was listening to that Palo Alto show the other day too. Story behind it is pretty nice.....
  25. Happy Birthday!!!
