  1. What an intro....not bad overall, I can't say i LOVED it but I DO love that they named the band that way..... 😊 From me: brand new Chameleons material. I like it musically, and the lead singer (who now goes by Chameleons Vox) has been pretty vocal in his distaste for the current president/administration. Pretty spot-on lyrics....
  2. Love the Magazine posts, thanks. Never got to see them live, I'm sure I would have loved that. But DID get to see Devoto with his band Luxuria....and they opened for The Fall! Incredible show!
  3. Couple "Holy Shitballs" pics. Gryphon Statement amp, the smaller sibling Gryphon Diablo integrated amp was how I got one of my cats' names (Diablo was his middle name). And a throw in: "are those speaker cables or are you REALLY happy to see me?"
  4. Happy Birthday Brent!
  5. Belated best! Hope it was indeed a great day!
  6. Holy shitballs those look nice! Would love to hear them.... Saw an ad for these, would love to hear them, too! The Göbel Divin Noblesse....
  7. Belated Happy Birthday!! Hope it was great!
  8. Happy Happy Birthday (Birthday)!
  9. I've posted this one before, but it is incredible.... There are some "Reaction" videos to this, IIRC one of them was a Psychologist/Psychiatrist and she was in tears for some of it.
  10. Sorry to hear Ian.... I'm in Maine right now, but I have a pair of Paradigm Shift's at home, and also a pair of Emotiva Airmotiv 4's (not 4s's) if you're interested in trying either. And if you like, yours to keep....
  11. Got to see my favorite band the Chameleons once again. Met up with a few elderly folks like myself, and our conversations were focused around our ailments as old-folks-discussion SHOULD be! 😄 The band were also wrapped in dark Goth bands - they were the 3rd of 4 bands. I don't mind a little bit, but even the two opening bands got to be too much for me. After the Chameleons played, I went home; the headliner (Twin Tribes) are VERY Goth and not what I cared to hear. I e-chatted with one of the other cranky old people yesterday, and he and I agreed that the sound and the band's performance was not quite as good as it has been in the past. But I also watched the set with another couple, and while we agreed the sound wasn't the best we just let loose and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Hit the "fuck I needed this" spot after a bunch of crazy work weeks. Also got to meet someone I've known through FB; s/he (she is transitioning to he) was running the merch table. So despite not being perfect, was a great time and just what the doctor of sanity ordered!
  12. Sorry to hear of the woes upon woes....sending multitudes of hugs and wishing you sleep and fast/full healing!
  13. Oh, shit.....so very sorry Steve. And yes, SO glad you got to talk with her and tell her you love her. Massive hugs!
  14. RIP Stan....didn't realize the connections, Wayne. Steve: I had to look up Ida....seeing obit's that are older.....not even sure who it is, pardon my ignorance. Also: RIP Mike Peters, lead singer for The Alarm. Lived with a blood cancer for MANY years, but it got worse towards the end; fuck cancer!! He did some good things to help support cancer research and help others with the disease. Morbid humor: I guess he went on down and met his maker. (see lyrics from the song The Stand).
  15. Wish I had seen them.....came close, but I didn't know who they were early on. In 1979, I was working as part of the "Miscellaneous" (aka "Shit") Crew at a hotel in Lynn, MA. It had The Main Act, a concert club, attached to it. I was only 14 at the time and working with a permit. But even though underage, they let me stay for shows sometimes. Saw some great local and a few national/international bands. Even met a drunk/high Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze! In any case, I saw an ad for Pere Ubu that they were playing, but they were in suits & ties in the ad. So I dismissed them, and regret it now as I never got the opportunity to see them after that. I think I would have loved them.... RIP David Thomas.
  16. Belated Happy Birthday! Hope it was grand!
  17. Very different, and very cool! Thanks!
  18. Welcome back!! I hope you and cats are all well!
  19. Wasn't sure the best place to post, but this is pretty cool. Chris is my nephew, he is brilliant (as is my niece, they met at MIT). https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/nasa-astronaut-chris-williams-assigned-to-first-space-station-mission
  20. So sorry Todd.....even seeing the recent deaths posted here, I always look at pets as the perfection of love without conditions. Their passing hurts so much too.
  21. Happy Birthday Doug!!
  22. Massive hugs Al....feeling your pain. RIP and the largest fuck I can wish on cancer!
