  1. Have a great one, JP!
  2. ^^^ Now we'll go and have a mild winter! Good find.....and good on the camera too. PM coming your way, we have an old unfinished transaction....MAJOR Homer Simpson "D'oh!" moment!
  3. Late 80's/early 90's quirky art-pop day for me.....two by Shelleyan Orphan, Humroot and Century Flower......love Caroline Crawley!
  4. Interesting pics, and nice news on the recovery. Hope it continues well. I have a friend who went to RI School of Design; he was involved in the design of part of a knee (joint?) replacement process, and he also had some incredible pics of the surgery.....
  5. Loving this! Speedy recovery Shelly! And Wayne, you're like the retail outlets, the Xmas stuff is coming out TOO early Looking great, though!
  6. Happy Birthday Alex!
  7. Good luck Shelly!
  8. Groovy, congrats!
  9. Loved the dance! And happy belated Dinny!
  10. I actually passed by White Plains on Saturday, but unfortunately couldn't stop down; DaveDerek is always trying to be the social coordinator and get me down there. Unfortunately, even though I was close I was under a timetable that wouldn't allow even a drop-in.... Nice pics, and looks like some nice gear too.
  11. I'm just afraid that my face will fall off now......
  12. Agreed with a lot of the above. If I get a price offered that is far enough below my asking, I often reply with something to the effect of "I might do that price, but would prefer to wait [some period of time] to see if I get at or closer to my asking price." More often than not, especially in this case where it's a fairly new ad, the person will come back with a better offer if they are truly interested.
  13. What they all said!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Happy Slirpday!
  16. Some closure I guess, Wayne, but never what you want to hear. Interesting but so sad all at once..... We had our delayed trick-or-treating last night, had a smaller amount of kids this year than many others. In order to get rid of the candy, there were 3 guys at the end of the night that split a bucketful of goodies; they were in hog heaven...... My son, for the first time, didn't want to trick-or-treat, even though one of his best buddies came to our neighborhood this year. Yesterday was also his last soccer game of the season, another win, and we found out today his team was the winner of his league (they officially had one loss, but it was due to paperwork issues, and they had to forfeit; they played the game anyway and won 4-1, but the records won't show that). Coach had the team over tonight for a celebration, nice time for the kids. Got a bunch of work stuff and prep for Andrew's Bar-Mitzvah done this weekend, too. EDIT: and just watched the Patriots fuck up another game....eerily similar to the Super Bowl they lost to the Giants.....decided not to get any hopes up any more with them....
  17. All the best Dan, hope that 20% is 0% ASAP!
  18. Good luck on all accounts, Jacob. My thoughts: get the worst fights out now, and learn how to make up......makes life easier ongoing IMO, you see the best and worst up front
  19. Yay indeed, glad things are getting back to normal.... Our neighbors got their power back yesterday, and I also came home last night to internet/phone/TV working. I actually saw the Boston bruins WIN a game
  20. Hardly ever post here, don't imbibe so much anymore; but needed a good drink after some long days recently. Had some Lucid Absinthe in a Head-Case glass.....
  21. "Life Events" should be a good cause to get insurance earlier. Losing other insurance is one of those events, at least up here in Mass. Good luck, and sorry to hear of the issues..... Also feel better wishes to Brian, and power wishes to all without. Got cable services back today, so catching up online. ALMOST back to normal, at least my relative version thereof.
  22. We didn't lose power, but lost all cable services (phone/internet/TV). Wasn't too bad, though it's still out. I was out at 11:15 pm Saturday night, cutting some weighted-down branches from an aging dogwood tree that had fell against a bay window, thankfully no damage to house. Then cleared 4-5" of slush from driveway yesterday, and cut and dragged off several more large branches down..... Son's school cancelled today, also has no school tomorrow. May have to bring him into work with me if we don't have services still Hope everyone gets power and all back soon! Take care all! EDIT: BTW, Halloween trick-or-treating in our town postponed until next weekend.....
  23. Took my son to his soccer game today, froze our behinds off. Good game, though; even without two of their top players, we won 6-0 and Andrew got a nice goal.... Also had the intention of doing some leaf-cleaning, but errands took longer and the rain came quicker than I thought. Turned to all snow, accumulating somewhat eagerly now..... Watching ther Bruins meltdown....again
  24. Crap, sorry to hear that Haj; hope you get it back soon. I have this pic somewhere of my son playing in about 5" of snow in front of a pumpkin, was an earlier-in-October storm than this year IIRC. We should be getting into the 50's later this week, and hopefully the trick-or-treaters won't be hindered. But still.....dang rude of this weather.....
  25. I think we found Tyll's heir Seriously, I am glad for you, and so very freaking jealous! For me, it's been a heads-down, lock the vacant boss' door and work in his office day. Lots of mellow music to keep me calm and steady, latest is France Black.
