  1. Took a nice ride up to Southern Maine with wife, son and friend of son; drove up to the York/Ogunquit coast. Nice lunch at "When Pigs Fly" restaurant, watched the ocean a bit in Ogunquit, and had a nice coffee by the water in a small section called Perkins Cove. Tiny bit of shopping on the way home, back now and seeing if my son and friend can watch Harold and Kumar Christmas (if his friend's dad will let him; rated R). My wife is a bit against it, but she let him watch Borat....
  2. Done, several times!
  3. x3. Home to family is good, as is sleeping in your own bed and not a Chicago airline terminal. And looking forward to hearing about the speakers, Marc.
  4. Good luck Nate, hope you get home tonight!
  5. ^^^ [Audible groans]
  6. Plus, many people don't have the breadth of exposure either, so a top dynamic may be the 701's. Their only experience is what they read hear
  7. Big Bones Davis...... got da bones to play da tones Shoulda been Cartman: "I'm not fat....I'm big-boned"
  8. Happy Birthday Adrian!
  9. Sad to see his time end with the surrounding controversy. But he'll be remembered as a legend. RIP.......
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Been there, Shelly, bummer to have to go thru it. Last big storm here, we actually kept electricity but lost all Comcast services (phone, TV, internet) for 3-4 days IIRC. Made for a weird life Me today: went to visit a friend recovering from some surgery. It's the third time they've gone in, and they found out they'll need to do one more again. He wasn't happy. But it's not terminal by any means, and he'll eventually be OK.
  12. Congrats, Haj!
  13. Amazing talent and voice....RIP
  14. Happy Belated Birthday!
  15. Wow....get an eye patch, get quite the reputation! Very Happy Birthday, hope you enjoy this and every day!
  16. It is great, Nate, and indeed she'll appreciate it knowing it was hand-crafted by daddy!
  17. Happy Birthday! Enjoy the day, and more!
  18. Toxic Avenger the Musical? How cool is THAT! Agree with others on the office, Vicki. Kevin's is cooler from the geek standpoint, but yours wins major on beauty Here's also wishing freedom from pain for those on the meds, and rapid healing. For me, horn-tooting time: Andrew's Bar-Mitzvah was FUCKING great! And I'm trying to look at it objectively.... He did extremely well in his readings, the service was great, and the party was a blast. We had several folks ask for our vendors' names, as they will have events coming up and will likely use them. Now to try and come down, still have a brunch in the morning to prep for!
  19. I know that pain Haj. I was doing some great combinations of rowing and free weights on alternate days when I was in my best shape. Then, "life" took over and I stopped cold. Months later, tried to pick it back up and I was exhausted at almost 1/10th the time I used to be. I just got back from our Synagogue, son Andrew participated in the Friday night service in anticipation of his Bar-Mitzvah tomorrow. Did a GREAT job tonight! And thanks to my amazing wife, planner extraiordinnaire, we are in great shape for tomorrow night's service. Actually pretty calm, I think Andrew will do very well.
  20. Happy Birthday!!!
  21. Thrice....a little solace and stability is a good thing!
  22. Was that a meet with Ari?
  23. I've tried the 580 (twice), 650 (twice), 600, and 800. Over time, I got rid of each. I think the 600 was my favorite of the cheaper series, and the 800 was very nice driven by a DNA Sonett balanced out, but the Stax Lambda Pro/SRM-T1W combo still was better to me; so that went too. Now with the 007's and Spritzer-modded 727A, there's no comparison.... Oddly enough, perhaps my favorite synergy for just pure fun was the 580 with the Eddie Current Lunchbox amp. I listened to that combo a LOT, for decent stretches at a time.
  24. Hoping good things for you. My best friend was surprised several weeks ago by his wife asking for a separation; he knew there were troubles but didn't know she felt this strong. She just moved out last weekend. Three kids..... His only saving graces are that they'll work out to have the kids spend time with each, and also he had some good news at work as well, something to help occupy him.
  25. Indeed, I am truly humbled by the overall eclectic knowledge in this place. You are a REAL high class bunch of drunks! Seriously, thanks for the great info. At least one of these bottles is coming to the next MA (or if I can make a NY one some eon) meet!
