Good to know, Antonio; this one is on my list.....

Some listening on my M51 DAC

Thanks. I've heard of Midwest Grill as well. Quincy is probably not as convenient for me..... And absolutely agree, re: save room for the meat. My wife and I were in Aruba a couple years ago, and it was meat and sangria's only for me!

Not sure if it's nationwide, but was just in my local Radio Shack and they had their Auvio brand HD Tuner on clearance for $29.97. The nice part is that 1) it can be modded for better sound (soldered opamp replacement for analog out), and 2) it has both coax and optical digital out. Even though I have the nice little Sony compact unit, I couldn't resist this to try out. EDIT: pic (not mine)....wonder if they are OEM'd by Sangean....doubt it, but one never knows

Yay for insurance, Haj! Hope this cures your ills. Details on ass-kicking (and no details on ass-TAKING ) would be great..... Yesterday at work, one of our Project Managers is chatting with me, and tells me how he was cleaning up a bit and came across a large pile of CD's in his closet. He already has them on his iPod, with multiple backups. His question to me: "You want 'em....?" Heck, yeah! So I came home last night with what must be about 100 CD's, but almost all are case-less, so some scratch repairs may be needed. A lot of 80's music, some Jazz (Ella and Basie, for example, looking forward to hearing that), some cheap Classical. A nice surprise! Going to bring him a nice bottle of Port Monday as thanks.

Glad you liked.... Where specifically did you go? My wife and I have talked about trying a Brazilian BBQ.....there's one in Lowell that got some decent word of mouth reviews, but they weren't raves.

Didn't notice until late in the day, but Happy Birthday Rich! Hope you had a good day, and better night!
-
Happy - gulp - half century, Larry!
-
Probably getting well into the day there, but very happy birthday! Hope you enjoy!

Yup, thunder and lightning....gotta love New England. Though with the weather Ma Nature has been putting on other parts of the US and the world, no complaints. Hope power stayed on Nate!

Good luck Haj! Me: Worked part of the day, played soccer dad to pick up my son today (wife is away on biz). Took him to the Allergist, he's had mild symptoms before but last Thursday had some kind of tougher reaction, though we're not sure of the exact cause. 2.5 hours, 142 dots on his back, 9 (!!!) tubes of blood, and 3 prescriptions later, we were free. He was a trooper, so I took him to a local Bertucci's restaurant and gave him his choice. MY entree was out, and I ended up not being as hungry as I thought I was, so i just passed on another entree. Well, waitress came over, said the manager said the WHOLE meal was free, and I should just get something to go. Lobster ravioli for lunch tomorrow! Nice.....but not the end. Visit to drugstore later, and even with insurance, almost $150 for the meds. So much for a free dinner.... Anyway, Andrew is doing well, and the meds should help clear up some sinus congestion and treat the allergy symptoms. He had previously been OK on OTC Claritin equivalent, we'll see if he needs more ongoing.

I like the first comment: "I found the title misleading"

Or May....this IS New England after all!

^^ Kosher bacon again? Will have to recommend this for Passover at my dad's.....

^^^ This. No need for me to go back to Senn's again (other than my 280's which I use for better isolation). Two Stax systems at home negate the need for Senn's anymore.......

Very nice, Nate. Think he's going to have a great summer!
-
Haj, hope you're feeling better soon.....haven't read up on the details, have you tried the Anbesol type localized pain-killer? And congrats to Tom on 24!

Happy Birthday!!!!

Not that this person isn't a monster and shouldn't be literally destroyed, but was reading up on more apparent facts. Still, if the message gets out and one more person like this is removed, I'm all for it. I'd like to see that any funds and support make the most impact..... http://blog.foreignp...plicated_things

^^^ Nice, reminds of me YoYoDyne Propulsion Systems, I'd rather have one of those: EDIT: I just ordered (CafePress)

I guess from a "moral" standpoint I was thinking more of how Peyton was treated. Apparently, little direct communication, various Twitter postings by Irsay that were pretty screwy, etc. The business side of it is always that, and I fully expect it to be driven by the money. Ultimately, it was more the way Peyton was treated, after all he did for that owner, team, and even city. Did he get paid extremely well? Absolutely. Doesn't make a difference if he made the millions of $ or made the $50K; it's abou tthe respect I think he deserved rather than so much nbehind the back talk and dealings. I may be way off base, as my only sources of info are what I read and hear on TV/Radio. But it seemed pretty consistent in reporting......
-
Agreed with the business reasons for cutting him, but morally of course...well, WTF do morals have to do with football teams....? I heard on sports talk radio that there was a video "leaked" of him throwing 4 different style passes: left to right, long ball, etc. Supposedly secret cell phone video, but well edited to show just those 4 good looking passes I think Deepak is right that he really is damaged goods, though, and will never fully regain best form. Still, he is a legend, and despite the rivalry with the Patriots, I always liked him (maybe because I just liked his commercials, except for the REALLY stupid Oreo commercial with Eli). He did indeed put Indy on the map again, and that team and town owe so much to him. So sad to see him treated this way, despite the fiscal sense of it all. Good luck to him.....

Happy feckn Birthday!

How did it go? I imagine an interesting mix of emotions.... Good luck with getting back into things!

Cambridge iD100 digital iPod/iPad dock
skullguise replied to swt61's topic in Home Source Components
Fully agree, Steve, it's a great little unit. I liked it better than the Wadia (170i, not the newer 171), especially because the remote controls more functionality on the iPod. I DID keep my iPod docked in it (have multiple iPods), so didn't seem to have the issue with skips/dropouts. And I also had a Buffalo II DAC (Fallen Angel built) at the time. Mine is currently not in use, but I will likely hook it up to my NAD M51 when I get it.
