Happy Birthday!!!!

Not that this person isn't a monster and shouldn't be literally destroyed, but was reading up on more apparent facts. Still, if the message gets out and one more person like this is removed, I'm all for it. I'd like to see that any funds and support make the most impact..... http://blog.foreignp...plicated_things

^^^ Nice, reminds of me YoYoDyne Propulsion Systems, I'd rather have one of those: EDIT: I just ordered (CafePress)

I guess from a "moral" standpoint I was thinking more of how Peyton was treated. Apparently, little direct communication, various Twitter postings by Irsay that were pretty screwy, etc. The business side of it is always that, and I fully expect it to be driven by the money. Ultimately, it was more the way Peyton was treated, after all he did for that owner, team, and even city. Did he get paid extremely well? Absolutely. Doesn't make a difference if he made the millions of $ or made the $50K; it's abou tthe respect I think he deserved rather than so much nbehind the back talk and dealings. I may be way off base, as my only sources of info are what I read and hear on TV/Radio. But it seemed pretty consistent in reporting......

Agreed with the business reasons for cutting him, but morally of course...well, WTF do morals have to do with football teams....? I heard on sports talk radio that there was a video "leaked" of him throwing 4 different style passes: left to right, long ball, etc. Supposedly secret cell phone video, but well edited to show just those 4 good looking passes I think Deepak is right that he really is damaged goods, though, and will never fully regain best form. Still, he is a legend, and despite the rivalry with the Patriots, I always liked him (maybe because I just liked his commercials, except for the REALLY stupid Oreo commercial with Eli). He did indeed put Indy on the map again, and that team and town owe so much to him. So sad to see him treated this way, despite the fiscal sense of it all. Good luck to him.....

Cambridge iD100 digital iPod/iPad dock
skullguise replied to swt61's topic in Home Source Components
Fully agree, Steve, it's a great little unit. I liked it better than the Wadia (170i, not the newer 171), especially because the remote controls more functionality on the iPod. I DID keep my iPod docked in it (have multiple iPods), so didn't seem to have the issue with skips/dropouts. And I also had a Buffalo II DAC (Fallen Angel built) at the time. Mine is currently not in use, but I will likely hook it up to my NAD M51 when I get it. -
Awesome looking, the MA's look great there, chair or not! I also like the Lady of Shalott print

Hope all unwell feel well soon. Haj, have your symptoms lessened? Hope so.... And congrats indeed to Claire! Me: spent much of the day gathering up 5 PC cases - 4 with in essence full systems in them - and gave them to someone who's kid works in a school computer lab. Putting parts together, wiping disks with binary zeroes, and piling that and 4 boxes of parts up for the taking. The sad part? I have 6 more desktop units and 3 laptops....not counting my or my wife's work laptops.....

I've heard a couple pairs of the Magico's, and they CAN sound terribly bright intially, or in the wrong room. Forgot which model it was, the real big tower after the initial Mini's... But I heard them burning in at a dealer in MA; I had to go running from the room. Way to loud, a bit too big for the room, and glare and brightness that hurt my ears. Some doofus was in the room, thinking they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. The sales guy and I shared a smile, though he didn't say anything.... Some time later, heard them in the same room, driven at reasonable levels, and the harshness was all but gone (STILL a little too big for the room, but improvement seemed very good). All that said.....I wouldn't want to spend that much. The laws of diminishing returns come into play for me even if I had that disposable income.

How To Put Together a "How To"?
skullguise replied to The Monkey's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
Probably more work than you want to do, but I've done training videos in the past using screen macro recorders to show my mouse and click actions, then used somethign like Audacity to record a voice narrative. I used paid-for software to combine the audio and video, but I'm sure there are freebies out there...... -
I had ventured 2 weekends ago to a kind of nearby "alterna-meat" store, www.healthybuffalo.com, and stocked up on a bunch of things. I finally cooked up some of the Wild Boar bacon I bought, and I'd say it was the best bacon I've had! Better flavor than any other I've tried, and probably less hormones, et al. As bacon goes (and sausage too), definitely recommend trying it.

Happy Birthday! Hope you have no documents to write up, a lack of colds in the family, a great day, and maybe even some "me" time!

Try calling the reservations number. I've been reading up online and the pilicies suck for passengers' rights. But if you can get someone on the phone to change your ticket to a flight tomorrow, it's worth a shot.... Another thing to check is with your credit card company (if you paid for the tix thru that). Some of them offer built-in travel insurance when you buy with their card, maybe there's a possibility there. I really can't believe that - despite the airlines' RIGHT not to refund - that they wouldn't do ANYTHING to try and help. Very bad publicity if they don't even try and change the flights.... Start out reasonable if you can, only esclaate to supervisors if you can't get anywhere, and good luck!

Nate, great pic! Can't believe how big she is. Crappy, good luck with trip, enjoy whatever you can out of it!

Happy Birthday!

Lucky man, Haj. But now you need to get her something nice! Nate, good luck up there, just be safe. It wasn't HORRIBLE here, but bad enough, and moreso because people forget how to drive when they haven't experienced snow for a while......

Cowby Junkies - The Caution Horses. Had an old videotape of the Jay Leno (Tonight Show) where he holds up their CD to introduce them, calling it The Cautious Horses. Woops.....

Apparently the folks in our town did call and complain. The superintendent sent out an email regarding the weather. He was well-spoken and defended his position articulately, and backed it up with statistics of buses that made it and only one minor accident (not involving a bus) with no injurues. That said, he wasn't there this morning, and now when I just went and picked up my son. Those people walking past the buses that line up in front of the building were going through much more snow & slush than the kids getting on a bus, crossing streets narrowed by snow on the sides and parked cars blocking the view of cars driving in the road. On top of that, there were many slips (and one minor fender bumper 2 cars in front me me) on the road. Our middle school is on a hill, and some people stopped at the light had a pretty tough time starting up the hill when the light turned green. I'm glad they got the school day in, but the potential for some injuries, especially to the kids, was there. The DPW supposedly reassured the superintendent that things would be clear for the schools getting out, but it just didn't look like it to me..... Rant off....maybe I'll cut and paste this as a reply to his letter......
