On the phone with Lester @ NewEgg.....very nice, but not super helpful, doesn't seem to have visibility into the details of where things ship from and what exactly they are. On hold, he is trying to contact other Customer Support people for more details. EDIT: after a bit of a wait, he said others did have issues with the wrong item (he said 4 or 5 people, we must be the only ones ordering it! Riiiiiight.....) Going to take my chances, better to have maybe a 50/50 chance to get the deal than not try at all.

Good idea Mike, calling now.....

I got my order confirmation and they processed the charge....so fingers crossed here.....

Surgeon, heal thyself? Hope things work out for you, CJ....needs to keep up with all the good in your life right now!

Big smile brought to this face, CJ. Very happy for you, I remember that "don't want to leave" feeling as well. Wishing you and Julie a very bright future!

OK, watched the game on DVR'd TV, I'll give the Horton fight to Hendricks, Thought Horton hit him and took him down, but it was more off-balance falling. Hendricks got a good quick couple hits on Horton before he could really hit back. Looked like Horton would have gone postal, though, if the refs let them back up and fight. Good choice of shirts though. According to a fan on another forum who sits behind the bench, the Bruins players were pissed at him, he was apparently doing some cheaper crap away from the play. But the Boston announcers seemed to praise him quite a bit, for bringing heart and energy, and not standing down even when cornered by two of the tougher Bruins. He seems like a guy you hate on any team but your own.

Just got back from an incredible game, perhaps the best the Bruins have played all season. I had to suffer through some jabs about my Caps jersey, though I did explain I had to wear it because I lost a bet; people were sympathetic after that. Didn't wear it the whole game, had my Charlestown Chiefs jersey on after. Oddly enough, the first people to sit near us were Caps fans, so we had a 1/2 decent chat. Nice folks. Meanwhile the game was awesome (for me): Nathan Horton finally got going with 3 points on the day and a Gordie Howe Hattrick, there were 3 fights and Bruins probably got the better in all of them (maybe tied one), and of course they beat the Caps 4-1. Caps only goal was a Bruins meltdown play, where the B's player trying to clear a puck bounced it off another player and it went in... Dan, they did a small video montage of Adam Oates when he was with the Bruins, and he got a standing ovation from the crowd there. I was real happy to see that, loved him as a player.... He acknowledged the crowd after the montage. Not sure if any of that showed on TV or not. Pics (sorry for crappiness of quality, my son was taking them with my iPhone):

I have to go to a different gym! Glad to hear X-Rays are good. Good also to hear good news on recovery fronts....keep up the good news. Today, I go to a Bruins game and will get my picture taken in a Washington Capitals jersey; payment on last year's lost bet with Dan....

Like it.... I see quite a few stories about people buying-selling-buying again. I have done that with 580's (on my 3rd pair), 600's and 650's (twice each, still have a 600 now, thank-you-Nate). Indeed, tube amps help, as one of my favorite budget "fun" combo's is the Eddie Current Lunchbox and 580. Got that combo again now. Good balanced amps seem to also have made a difference in perception of the Senn's. I remember seeing stories of how that mystical veil disappeared with a good balanced amp. Tyll's description of the 650 acknowledges that veiled may be valid as a descriptor; I'm not so sure, but maybe it's just semantics....if an amp can "remove" it, not so sure I'd want to call it a veil....but minor quibble.... So good one, Tyll, a nice read about nice phones.

This bugs me, but more because I'm worried that someone not-so-scrupulous will put a tip in there after it's signed. So every time I get one, I put a line through the tip amount space, and total it; only then do I sign. The place from which we do take out most often uses the same CC machine for in-house or take-out, so I don't get too upset about it being there.....

I think she has some mountain lion in her..... Dan, I can't move from new England, how else would I complain about New England? I have to complain in the Winter of cold and snow, Spring of too much rain, Summer of heat and humidity, and Fall....well, most likely the choking Red Sox.

Yeah, this is bizarre, I'm working from home, and my neighbor is on his third round of snowblowing....this shit does not stop! MAKE IT GO AWAY...! AAAAAWWWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYY.....!

We just got a fairly late cancel call, too. Sucks for your wife, Nate. Not sure if it's better or not, but I had heard of some places hit by Sandy cancelling school vacation weeks to make up for time lost, too....

Reminds me a bit of my father-in-law; he's passing around $1 tips indeed like it's the 50's. A regular handyman and myself moved a ~350 lb ungainly (and ugly) entertainment center when I visited them in FL. Lots of work, sweat, and about 1/2 hour of time. Father-in-law goes to give him a $1 bill, thankfully mother-in-law caught my look, interrupted him, and handed the handyman more. Same thing when we got free valet parking in Boca Raton, $1 bill given to me to give to the valet. No..... In any case, good luck with the car CJ, sorry you have to go through the hassle.
