  1. Very Happy Birthday Miguel!
  2. Turntables are now using the ANALOG512 Synchronius Cross-Undersampling EZ-Bake-Oven Uncontrolled Plutonium Clock technology, make sure you have the latest!
  3. Don't hold any special love or hate for either team, but it would have been nice to see the "underdog" Wings win it. And indeed, a great series overall. The after-game handshake looked like the classiest I've EVER seen, tons of apparent respect between the teams. Now the 4 remaining teams are the last 4 winners of the Stanley Cup....
  4. Trying out USB cables for my laptop to DAC. Actually surprised at variation in sound! Settling with a Moon Audio Blue Dragon won @ the NY Spring Meet auction. Pretty darn nice. Once I saw these, just had to listen to the full albums. Not sure if this guy is a genius or truly the product of an asylum. But pretty fun stuff.
  5. Raised a glass today, too....big thanks to all who serve and have served.....
  6. Crap, sorry to hear it Nate! Hope it passes quickly and easily enough.....
  7. Yes, great game! Hoping San Jose can pull it off too....
  8. ^^ Don't have any fingernails left......hats off to Rangers, they are playing much better the last couple games. Weird to think that powerplays are making such a difference in this game....3rd period may have nothing called unless there's a decapitation!
  9. I think you're right, Steve. Rational thinking is slowly making its way through. Not as fast as many would like, but as you say: small steps.
  10. Went on a Harbor Cruise as part of a work award for a project I was on. Saw the same two ships in Nate's pics. Got to meet some fine and fun folks from Colombia who we supported on this project.....
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Happy Belated!
  13. Very Happy Birthday!!!
  14. He DOES a lot of wrong things MANY times. Love his competitiveness, but he hasn't been able to get the ebst out of the talented NYR players. Oddly, many folks were complaining about Claude Julien being similar: too defensive-first, will stick too long to a potentially-faulty system, etc. But it worked, I think the team rallies behind him more....
  15. Bruins' 4th line creates both goals! Real blood and guts hockey, would make Jim Carr proud. "everybody's on their feet yelling 'Kill! Kill! Kill!'. This....is.....hockey!"
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. ^^^^ Ooooh, an evil Harry Potter character! Which one is he?
  18. All stated well....RIP
  19. Ditto.....hoping the best for all involved, friend or stranger.....
  20. It was a blowout in the third, but I thought the Rangers were finally moving during the first and second. The Nash goal was great, and had/has me worried that he found his game. But, the Rangers were down 2-0 to the Caps, so I'm not counting any chickens. One knows how that can work out...Toronto. Ready for Tuesday.....
  21. The "or not" version turned out to be her falling asleep just a few minutes into the TV show she was watching. I ended up going to catch San Jose beat LA in OT..... We were down in NJ celebrating Mother's Day with her mother last week, hence the raincheck.
  22. Spent some time celebrating a belated Mother's Day for my wife Karen. Nice diner-style breakfast (her dad used to do that a lot in NJ where she grew up), then off to get her a simple but decent bike. Capped off with a REALLY good Italian dinner in Newburyport, MA. She loved it, said it was her new favorite place (beating out Boston's North End, which is very hard to do). Now home, and considering watching a movie, or not.....
  23. Partially owed to the fact the Bruins won, but I didn't think the game was so boring (was expecting a defensive snooze-fest). Yes, some tight defensive play, but getting almost 50 shots on goal is quite tough aginst a solid Rangers team. The Bruins had 3 defensemen injured, and almost a 4th multiple times during the game. Their rookies played REAL well for a first time in a second round playoff game! Rangers still scare me, though, if players like Nash find their touch again; and I fully expect Lundqvist to be better. There's some incredible talent there. I'm sure NY'ers probably feel frustrated with the Torts system at times, we certainly do at times with Julien's. But hell, whoever keeps winning keeps the job longer.
  24. Happy Birthday!
  25. Congrats, and damn you said this before I could!
