  1. All this; well put Gene
  2. I didn't know Mike Ditka was my Jewish Mother-In-Law..... Good stuff Jim, hopefully things stay stable.
  3. You beat me to it Jacob! Oddly enough, I walked outside today here in MA. Must have been close to 100. But it was actually slightly more comfy than some other days because the humidity wasn't as high. But....I did still say something to the effect of "Fuck, it's hot!"
  4. Seriously Ian, just send me your playlist.....lots of good female vox recommendations I see from you! Thanks for this one.....fun listen......
  5. FWIW, Elusive Disc is having a 12% off sale through 7/22 @ 6pm EST. Anything not marked "Ineligible for further discount" should be good. Stax is no longer listed as such; was thinking of getting the SR-207 to use when I think the Lambda Pro's are too bright (net cost will be about $370 IIRC). Any thoughts yea or nay? Will think about it over the weekend and buy Sunday night or Monday. Thinking yea based on what Birgir wrote earlier....
  6. Great review, indeed......like the shout-outs for the L2 and BHSE......
  7. I was thinking the same thing, then looked at my Wadia 151 PowerDAC, which is basically a DAC/Integrated (digital inputs only). Could make sense there..... Otherwise, for anything with an analog input, there are RCA and XLR analog outputs on the unit!
  8. Bon Voyage Steve. Fly safe, land safe and happy!
  9. Just got the PS Audio newsletter, an interesting product coming soon. Phono Pre and A-D Converter. Snippets: Info on digital output
  10. Saw that on FB today, major cuteness & cleverness!
  11. Nice Ian....looks a lot better than the white-coated wire stuff I put in my son's room. Functional, but not as nice.
  12. RIP Dr. Bose. I've known several folks who worked at Bose, and as a corporation liked it a lot. Too bad they took his work and made it into primarily a marketing and legal-driven audio company....
  13. Necro-revive, in more ways than one. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100882342 On sale starting today at Wal-Mart.....
  14. Grahame, you may not be far off for anything "French" and bacon. Even in my trip to Montreal and Quebec, I thought both the bacon and sausage were so much better in the US.

^^^ I was thinking the same Birgir, but need to hold off for some potential computer upgrades in the house.....never mind the lack of stock

  17. Happy Birthday Mike, sounds like good times. We're in Vermont now, have spent a good part of the day in Burlington on Church Street (Cobblestone walking area). Some nice brewery/pub options here (though decided on Citizen's Cider tonight, not beer)
  18. Ian, that sounds a little like us; the day before my wife and I went in to have her induced, we had a new carpet installed. Not that it's a good omen, but we had a great birthing experience (though epidural helped too!).....
  19. Happy Birthday Birgir!
  20. Last night in Canada (Quebec). There is a big festival going on here, started today. Saw a tiny bit of music, braved a lot of wandering crowds (chaotic a la Japan), and had a nice dinner. We also went today to an island outside of Quebec City and some falls that are higher than Niagara (but much narrower). Exhausted now, back at hotel in the AC and ready to relax. Back to USA tomorrow, one night in Burlington VT than home again.....
  21. ^^^ seconds for me before the complaints come! Jacob, hope it goes away soon, and Nate....well, glad THAT'S out!
  22. Happy Belated! Hope it was grandiose!
  23. Repeated: Congrats!
  24. Had Montreal's famous "smoked beef" sandwich and poutine for lunch. I guess being a Jew from Boston (and with in-laws from NY area) I am spoiled. Basically it was corned beef, which my stepmom makes better! Never mind all the good deli's where I've had it.... Was still quite tasty, though, and the poutine was good to try....once.
  25. Happy belated!!
