Real sorry to hear that Wayne. Met some people last night with family around Loveland; they lived on the higher end of a hill and are apparently OK.....but this is just amazing. I swear Mother Nature is seriously pissed at the world these days.... -
I'm loving the new Neko Case, and a little less so the new Goldfrapp (but still enjoying it a lot). For me: Death. Fun raw pre-punk punk

Please read the welcome message first.....it's linked in the post right above yours

They COULD be knock-off copies of Beats by Dr. Dre, a.k.a. Beat-Offs. Or, they could be genuine Beats by Dr. Dre, a.k.a. Off-Beats

Good luck Shelly; hopefully just a raw nerve or something....fingers (toes?) crossed

Agree on the taxpayer burden relief, but part of me was hoping he'd become some really big and smelly guy's bitch....

We went up there (and to Quebec City) in July, a very good time. There's an on-off bus tour from Gray Line that's pretty good, we had a pass that allowed us to do it for 2 days. Stops off at several places, has a tour guide, and buses run fairly often (I think every 15 minutes or so, you can get on anytime with your pass/bracelet; but that may be times during peak summer times). Was great for a "taste" of many things, and we often stopped for a couple hours at various spots. We went to the Chihuly Glass exhibit at the art museum, was pretty amazing, not sure if still there (edit: there through October 20th per web site). The Notre Dame Church and Church at Mont-Royal if you're into that (even as a Jew who's not a big sightseer, I was interested in both). Walking street near old town waterfront was fun, some decent restaurants and touristy shops. We didn't go to Swartz's Deli but to another place for the smoked meat - which was corned beef as we know it in US. Well done, and tasty for sure, but I was a little underwhelmed based on flowery descriptions I had heard previously. We even enjoyed a local farmer's market (huge) in one of the neighborhoods.

Cleaning out my phone's data, some pics from other parts of the internet, don't THINK I saw them here, apologies if so. -
Oh, one more....a counselor at camp in 1978 stole my Kiss Alive tape! STILL working that one out!

One of my favorite memories is when I was on AOL via a 2400 baud modem....met a woman in FL who liked a lot of the same music I did. We ended up sending each other mix tapes, with hers having the obligatory heart over the "i" in mix. The songs were so-so but she was very sweet....and, I may still have that cassette somewhere. But in thinking, it may have been damaged during a basement flood several years back.... But anyway....happy birthday cassette. You were a huge part of my formative music years....
