Wow, does indeed look a bit of teh awesomeness...... Didn't see pricing.....any ideas or knowledge? -
Recover well, Stretch..... My dad is a dentist, and I remember one hygienist who was absolutely adorable. One cleaning, she was chatting with me and asked if I wanted to be a dentist like my dad. My smartass reply: "Nothing against you or the profession, but it's not my aim in life to put my hands in people's mouths and have them drool on me...." Thankfully, she laughed, and didn't do anything nasty with those sharp instruments she had!

Holy crap, Brent, like you need one more thing going on! Sorry to hear this, hoping all ends up OK!

It's probably a bit shallow of me, but I've loved his role in the movie "Get Crazy" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1m1Bk-mDXM That movie was a lot of dumb fun, with a great cast including several musicians from the 60's through the 80's.

RIP Lou Reed...... And "some fuck or another" Ronald Greenfield, my father-in-law. A couple weeks short of 86, ex-stockbroker (until 75!), ex-Navy, father of 3 beautiful girls, husband of over 60 years. A charming man, a grumpy son of a bitch, a friend to the underdog. His passing was ultimately a blessing, avoiding further pain and bed-ridden deteriorating existence. But there's a gaping hole in my and others' lives.

My wife told me about this today.....one of the greats is gone.....

Wow, good news Haj....! Not to put a damper on things, but going back to NJ tomorrow morning, likely to say good bye to my father-in-law. Still in the hospital, painfully weak and not eating. But OK enough to take out a feeding tube they put in.... It sounds blunt and hateful, but his passing may be a blessing (for him and my mother-in-law, who is having HER life drained away trying to care for him). Just hope my MIL would still move up here.....we want her here, and I truly believe she will have the best chance of living life in a good and caring/helpful community here.

Happy Birthday Marc!

Good luck Brent, mom, and family!

Thanks all. My mother-in-law is a "New York Girl" and part of her doesn't think she has enough remotely as cultural and interesting in Boston. I truly think it's more of an extreme discomfort with change; she has lived in that area all her life, and in the same house > 50 years. Ultimately, we seem to think she will come up, with or without my father-in-law; but that question did remain, they had looked at a place in Long Island at one point that didn't have the proper memory care for my father-in-law.

Hope you feel better soon, Antonio! Me, the good: lost a weekend day going to day 1 of 3 of the Boston TDWI (The Data Warehouse Institute) conference. But well worth the missed day, it was great. Looking forward to the next couple days..... The bad: my father-in-law - some may remember he was diagnosed with dementia, specifically Frontotemporal Degeneration - has been in the hospital, unable to move up here to an assisted living place near us. They have excellent memory care facilities, but he is slipping physically now as well as mentally. In a hospital in NJ, my wife went down this weekend to see him. Apparently a physical and mental shell.....my wife, her mom, and sisters are talking about what happens if he passes away down there (will she still move up here; hope she will).

Agreed, Ric. While the Herus probably is great, he probably hasn't heard much. FWIW, I pre-ordered the Light Harmonic Geek with upgraded output for $250 (didn't make the Kickstarter project). It's got a 3D Awesomifier.....must be good (Probably some kind of cross-feed implementation).

Happy Birthday! Here's to many many more

NFL Offensive Lineman --> Orthopedic Surgeon. A natural progression.... Actually, I think that's slightly awesome! A good "life after football" story.

Listening now, in 24/44.1 Hi-Res....so far so good! Some (many?) similarities to her first, TBD if I like one over the other. EDIT: as the tracks go on, realizing there is more of a difference from the first.....will need more listens, but I'm thinking the first album "grabbed" me more.

I like Watson. Cute and classy all at once!
