  1. Well said, Wayne.....such a talent..... Me: found a bootleg of Heather Nova from Amsterdam 1994, nice soundboard recording, and wonderful performance. She compliments the country because she found out they had a sunflower on their currency
  2. RIP Lacey. I saw her story and it was awesome, just so sad a beautiful young child has to pass. And RIP Bruce...good guys like that can be rare.
  3. New Mary Fahl, Love And Gravity Love her voice and expressiveness. I'm sad that I'll be away when she plays in New England (4/18 in Maine, 4/19 in NH),
  4. I had a varied mix of DSD, 24-bit, and 16-bit on my Sony player at the meet. There was a complete mix of quality totally unrelated to format, in that some things "only" 16 bit sounded a heck of a lot better than something else 24/192 or DSD. As we've discussed in other threads, it's more about the recording itself than the technology used to digitize. To act/feel disappointed that something isn't hi-rez PCM or DSD is just kind of ignorant, especially without listening.
  5. ^^ You are correct, sir.
  6. Wow, that is so sad....! RIP....poor family.....
  7. RIP to both....haven't seen much of Rooney's work, did see a recorded stand-up of John Pinette some time ago. Stopped watching Seinfeld fairly early on, so didn't remember him from that.
  8. Justin, you captured the essence of the meet so well....
  9. Happy Birthday Zach!
  10. Happy Birthday, you non-Gwei-Lo you
  11. Happy Birthday Mike!
  12. Donated, thanks for doing this CJ. My wife is a Breast Cancer Survivor, and we've volunteered to work at, or participated in, one of the local Relay's several times. Happy to be donating in honor of, not in memory of.....
  13. The Fall - 458489 A-Sides
  14. Oh, wow.....LOVED Harvey Korman in so many things, especially the live skits with Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show..... I'm so glad we had this time together.....RIP Harvey.
  15. I'll be there, will have some gear but for non-audio stuff will bring something nice for a toast to Tom. If you care to jump on H-F you'll see the list, some good folks will be there.
  16. +1, very cool!
  17. Just heard a great one on the radio.....if anyone has heard the annoying yet catchy 1-877-KARS4KIDS jingle (page link), they played a great alternative. Normally the lyrics are "1-887-KARS4KIDS, K-A-R-S KARS4KIDS, 1-887-KARS4KIDS, donate your car today...." I just heard "1-855-KIDS4KARS, K-I-D-S KIDS4KARS, 1-855-KIDS4KARS, donate your kid today...."
  18. Feel better Brent....did you and/or the kids get a flu shot?
  19. Happy Spring! We had some VERY slight "sleety" accumulation on the grass this a.m., nothing bad.
  20. Happy 40th! How many years is that in cat years, maybe Thursten can celebrate with you....
  21. Very happy birthday! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  22. It's been a freaky weird day, lots of odd things and odd behavior with systems and people. So had to listen to a little Fred Lane
  23. Hope it's not too bad Shelly, heal well and quickly....definitely worth getting an opinion for form..... Me: back from a whirlwind weekend in NJ, Bar-Mitzvah and other family togetherness.....made great time driving, both ways....
  24. Excellent news! Hope it all improves more, then settles well
  25. Highasakite - Silent Treatment. Quite a pleasant listen so far!
