  1. Many years back, I made a resolution to not make any more resolutions. If I want to do something I should do it no matter what day/year. But I still enjoy the New Year, and wish everyone a happy, healthy, & prosperous 2014!
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. Jax is awesome......relaxed happy cat.... Though something tells me he "owns" all the chairs in the house.....
  5. He's got a smile on, so the drugs MUST be somewhat good..... Glad to see that smile, though, and heal well and fast!
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Comfort for me is slightly different. Part of the earpads rest on my ears, I can't get them over it 100% so it seems. I also have a short height from ears to the top of my head, and it's not a perfect fit that way either. But still comfy enough to wear for several hours of listening during the day. As for isolation, especially when playing: several folks have said it takes "more" to get my attention when they stop by my cube. However, there is concrete flooring outside my cube, and I still heard hard heels on it as people walk by. Certainly muted, but still audible even with music playing at reasonable volume. But I agree with much if not all Ryan says about sound, it's really quite good, especially some decent soundstage for a closed phone.
  8. Echo all the above, hope all is/gets well soon.....
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. Visited an Open house at a stereo store today (Fidelis for those in MA/NH who care; they moved from Derry NH to northern Nashua NH). Got to hear some nice gear, heard some lovely vinyl, met some very nice people, and a few industry folks: Vinnie from Red Wine, Yoshi Segoshi from Sakura Systems (imports the 47 Labs gear to US), a well-educated gent named Paul from Bricasti (they make an expensive but nice DAC, as well as a bunch of professional gear). A bit of live entertainment, guitar and flute from a couple of nice Jewish ladies. All in all a good time, and I actually didn't spend any money! They had the Audeze LCD-3 there, and I heard it from an Auralic Taurus amp as well as Vinnie's Isabellina amp/dac. Pretty nice, even very nice, but I still preferred my Stax and Senn 800's more. Off tonight to meet my mother-in-law a sister-in-law/family who are up visiting.

  14. The ADH Ring replacement will give it a much more relaxed presentation. Not jittery, and doesn't skip songs every 30 seconds or so......
  15. I...errr....Tri-cor.......
  16. I caught a bit of that on the news here, the link above lent a more personal note to it.....glad he's OK. Someone has to have MAJOR issues to do that shit......

  21. Oh, that was weird, I saw December 25 as the date started, and was a bit confused....then I noticed 2012. Yes, Merry Christmas and all that is celebrated!
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. Very nice Larry, good luck with introductions.....!
  24. Wayne, nice stuff on the more "personal" visits. That much more meaningful for you, and that much more special for the kids..... Lightly related: My wife, son and I volunteered at a local Boys & Girls club for their "holiday" dinner. Hot dogs and hamburgers for ~700 kids, mostly of Latino descent. A herculean effort to put it together, but amazingly well done. Kudos to the people that run this place, and kudos to 2 local 99 Restaurants for donating all the food. They had a Santa line there as well, but the "elves" were passing out the gifts instead of Santa himself (couldn't have all 700 kids sitting on Santa's lap). Still, it brought tears to my eyes to see the kids light up so much. Just made me very thankful for all I have.....
  25. Happy Birthday! Your present is a Geek Pulse! Wait for it....................
