^^^ Actually, they only do Oppo CASE mods, right? Ric @ EVS/Tweak Audio seems to do some fine work, if not the prettiest. I've had two of his modded players and they kicked aural ass for pretty small money.

Gene, I'm with you, but I don't dislike the Rangers like some other NY teams (Yankees, Jets & Giants). They are built much the same way as the B's were/should be, good combination of grit, heart, skill. They are faster for sure, and that helped them against the Habs. I have no favorite in the finals, but it would be nice to see NY win it, as I stated above.

Good stuff, Rangers! Nice that your dedication was rewarded Dinny, et al. What the Rangers did was what I expected/wanted the Bruins to do, but injuries, hesitation (what will/won't the refs call), and stupidity got in the way. Be nice to see them win it all, just because LA and Chicago have won recently. And, it'd be a bit ironic and humorous if the coach swap between NY and Vancouver results in one not making the playoffs, and the other winning the cup. But I don't have any preference overall, will just enjoy seeing what I hope is some great hockey to wrap it up.

Goodwins High End isn't far from me, I should check them out; that looks like quite the speaker. I remember being in there when they had I think the second Magico model (big multi-driver tower). WAY too big for the room they were in, and amazingly glaring all over the place from mids on up. Someone was in listening and came out "very impressed" I couldn't stand to be in the room for more than about a minute. They are surely much better than how they sounded that day in that room.....(the Mini's were in that room another time, and sounded quite good).

Wonder if they accept Multi-Pass.....

I have the Strada 2's and the TR-1 sub, it is indeed a great combo; I have also owned the Ref 3.0's in the past, but cannot feasibly compare them (different rooms, different systems). I have my Strada's on the floor stands. Initially (on my wood floor) the sub didn't integrate well, so I had it turned down too much and had a bit of an upper bass suckout that....sucked. Since put the sub on a slab of granite, about 6-7" high, and now works much better, I have owned and love Gallo's for their CDT (tweeter) for many a year now, dating back to the polymer sphere References. All that said, I have more of a gut feel that the Strada's may not do as well on the desktop. Can't even say why, just not sure about them SO nearfield. But I never tried them there, so take it for what it is, just a gut feel.

Such negativity Dan, too many "nots." For me, Pittsburgh eliminated, and Vancouver not in it at all, and I'm mostly happy. I don't hate the Habs as much as many in Boston do, but would definitely prefer the Rags to beat them. The way the Habs are playing, though, they may make it to the finals....where the winner of the West will likely beat whoever comes out of the East. If Chicago won 3 cups in 5 years, that'd be freaky awesome. Dynasty rating IMO, and in the cap era that's amazing. Anyway, counting Blackhawks before they hatch....just ready for conference finals....

Bruins shit themselves.....ugly officiating this game, no consistency at all. But that isn't the reason they lost. Half the freaking team just didn't show up. Hats off to Montreal, they played very well all series except perhaps game 5. But GO RANGERS!
