  1. You and McKenna keep hanging in there, Larry. Despite the pain and discoloring, it sounds like you're both progressing. I join in the good healing wishes!
  2. The nice thing about having an older child, and older nieces and nephews.....no more wrapping! It's gift card, cash or check in an envelope these days.....
  3. So export to PDF, and then use a free online PDF to Word converter......
  4. CJ, see this link, you can export the text from iBooks and use another program http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2809
  5. x2 what Mikey said. All the best to you and McKenna, Larry.
  6. ^^^ that was Choan-worthy (Chuckle and Groan)
  7. Oh, man, RIP Joe. Lung cancer.....fuck.... LOVED John Belushi's characterization of him.....
  8. Wishing you a very happy birthday. We all chipped in and got you a present, with a very special someone to present it: [ducks] JUST KIDDING! Hope it's a great day!
  9. x2, may every step be a good one.
  10. One day at a time, Larry, just you and your daughter keep getting better
  11. Done. I've seen some wonderful news stories about this camp. Thanks for helping them, Ari!
  12. Fuck, all the above and more, Larry. Rest well, heal well, and just get through this day by day. Best to you and your daughter!
  13. Interesting, thanks Dan. I actually have some ~20" stands in my basement, may just go for those to try. But I do want to experiment with this close-to-the-floor thing.
  14. Very cool, glad you're liking. I've been enjoying the Airmotiv 4's a fair bit as well. Have a simple setup of DVD player -> Benchmark DAC-2 -> (balanced to) Airmotiv's. In the spirit of Mapleshade, my 4's are on the carpet angled up via cork/rubber combo footers. Somewhat muddy midbass, but pretty fun! May try to put them up on butcher blocks, even more Mapleshady.
  15. Oy....fast healing wishes to Xavier and Beckett!

^^ Thanks for the reminder Dusty, I missed some days too, but most I missed are still free downloads. Only missed one so far (Maeve O'Boyle), be happy to share with anyone who needs.....
  17. Jack, have you definitely decided to buy them? You may want to do more research. I basically heard these are pretty well-regarded, punching above their price point with strong bass, dynamics and imaging. But there have been some reports of less-then-nice treble at times, so I'd be leery without doing more research....
  18. Aesthesys - Ascendere - some pretty nifty proggie stuff, methinks Dusty might know/like.....got this (and others by them) from one of the guys in the NH meet this weekend.
  19. I had the RKV Mk II and K-1000 combo, I thought they worked very well together.....but yeah, while I miss that combo, not rushing to replace it either.
  20. Holy crap, sorry to hear she/they went through all this; hope it all comes out OK in the end.....
  21. Thanks all, had a good day. Headphone meet up at Fidelis Audio in NH, nice turnout of decent human beings. When I got home my wife and son met me at the door with ~50 small wrapped things, all in a trail, very clever. Then off to a second location of my favorite restaurant for my standard birthday dinner (slightly changed from "Bayou Catfish" to "Bayou Redfish" but I think even better). Then watched the Bruins finally win a fucking game. Though befitting my new age and pending AARP membership status, I fell asleep for part of the third period. But in reality, turning 50 means I'm one day older than the previous day. When life is overall pretty good, it's "just another day." I measured this milestone with a smile, not with panic....
  22. Welcome to my religion, Stretch. Jews have a built-in worry gene....but hope things get more sleep-worthy for sure very soon! Nice to see and hear about trees, well-behaved grand-kids, and more.
  23. Happy Birthday Tom, hope it's full of greatness!
  24. Going pretty old school. I wasn't even 10 years old when my brother got this album, I asked him to play it many times a day. He must have liked it too, as he didn't kill me. Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies.
