  1. true enough & i had that thought whilst posting...but have to classify it somehow no?...i've also had much better oak aged ales...& much better strong ales (which is what BA has it as)...in a general category this is generally unimpressive...
  2. Southern Tier Cuvee #3 Oak Aged Ale... never saw #1, passed on #2 at Jungle Jim's in Ohio...figured I'd give this one a shot...usually hafta travel for the oak aged varieties of Southern Tier...&, despite the packaging, this one was reasonably priced...plus I was given a 15% discount:)... honestly, except for a couple/few brews, I'm not a big fan of Southern Tier...& I've had much better Cuvees...
  3. Sun King Timmie Imperial Stout then more Sierra Nevada Hoptimum...
  4. FFF Behemoth on tap at Tomlinson Tap Room in downtown Indy...they got a 1/6 barrel...Cherry Behemoth just went on tap in Munster, but it'd probably be gone by the time I got up there...very limited says their tap list...
  5. Founders Backwoods Bastard...almost outta this stuff...boo....
  6. i'm familiar with what they are...just growing old waiting for prices...
  7. last night Stone/Ballast Point/Kelsey McNair San Diego County Session Ale...& Tröegs Nugget Nectar Imperial Amber... this morning sbux coffee...
  8. happy birthday...
  9. Insanity is also good:)...
  10. Weyerbacher Tiny...roasty!...
  11. Weyerbacher Riserva...dig it...everything NB La Folie wasn't...cherries, raspberries, oak, (apple?) cider vinegar...
  12. Goose Island Pepe Nero...forgot to mention this one...they're adding it to their year round lineup...hopefully this'll mean four or six packs...nothing spectacular, but am thinking it'll be a different animal on tap... right now?...MOAR NUGGET NECTAR!!...

    saw this over on reddit...
  14. glad you found some l&l...still irked that the ones i reserved were sold... i'm drinkin' a Mikkeller Stateside IPA....which earned me the connoisseur badge on untappd heh... not particularly fond of this one...they did it as a tribute to American microbrew...but they got it all wrong...who says of their IPA, I wish this was thicker?...this is like a not as bold Epic Armageddon...
  15. Sun King Grapefruit Jungle...should've growlered it when I had the chance....then I could have it with breakfast:)... coincidentally, I'm having it on draft at Tavern on South which is about as close to Lucas Oil Stadium as you can get...we're watching the situation in Dallas intently & taking notes...
  16. tickets go on sale today at noon...
  17. fell down some stairs...calls for some Pliny the Elder...
  18. Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog Ale...
  19. Mt. Carmel IPA....creamy/malty...hops come on strong at first but quickly fade...tastes like a hoppier/pinier Boddingtons... Ithaca Caskazilla Red Ale...a powerful red indeed...hope to have this one on tap some time...or at least freshly brewed...add a crispness to this & it'd be dynamite... Firestone-Walker Double Jack Double IPA....could stand to be slightly hoppier, but should be fine for most...not overly creamy like the Mt. Carmel...closer to balance...
  20. Great Divide Grand Cru Belgian-Style Dark Ale... bottled earlier this month...plenty fresh...spicier than the Sierra Nevada...not as juicy...waaay sweeter...SN gets the nod in my mind...but, at 11%, sure aging one of these would be fun...as would the food pairing suggestions on the label...
  21. Mad River John Barleycorn Cellar Reserve 2009 Barleywine Style Ale...smooth & delicious...has definitely mellowed...

I really wanted to see that Caterham Superlight used in a challenge, but still really enjoyed the episode... thought they were going to have a high roller to drive that Ferrari...someone who could afford the insurance:)...
  23. gas station coffee... anyone here ever had Templeton Rye?...they're out of Iowa...
  24. guess:)...
  25. Ninkasi Tricerahops Double IPA....8.8ABV....a big one:)...surprisingly malty...one of those “we added a little more everything” beers, but it's really the malt that sticks out head & shoulders above all else...including the hops...
