RIP, Joe. Thanks for everything you brought to the industry - great headphones, great phono carts, early entry into headphone amps, and handcrafted in the US of A (at least in the early years) goodness ... Will be breaking out the HP1000s and the old Joe Grado amp tonight.

Happy schussing, Nate.

But, of course. Damn, but don't I wish I were there to share these two exalted smoke monsters with you. I do loves me some peat. On the nose,in the mouth, and for the long, glorious finish. Thanks for the tasting notes, Bryan, and Cheers, all.

Thee are two kinds of people in the world ... those who like pulls on false drawers, and those who don't.

Nice, Al. Does it come with studded snows?

Ken, in Chrome on a Mac running Yosemite, I just right click, then have "copy image URL" as an option. -
Looks sparkly, simple, and clean to me, Mikey. Nice work. Did you get overtime after 4 PM?
-
Roof raking, I remember it well. Hang in there, snow folk. Mike Sr, FFF closing is just wrong, sacrilegious, even.

^^^ Indeed, my take, exactly. And a belated pile on to thank Knucks for keeping this awesome thread going (as well as many other worthy contributors). -
Awesome, Colin and Shelly. But, Shelly, this is HC ... shouldn't you have gotten BOTH the double patty with grilled cheese buns AND the single with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, and aioli?
-
Nice, Al. I do like his stuff.
-
Doesn't look wet from the pic, Todd, so I hope it's light stuff, and no one loses power. Sure is pretty.
-
Good news, Peter.
-
Great news, Chris. That's gotta be a load off.
-
Stay safe, everyone. Looks like a big one for sure.
-
Very sorry, Peter - major suckage. Yes, something like that really takes the enjoyment out of what should be a fun trip. Fingers crossed for insurance - either auto or homeowners, or both.

Nice outing, Jeff. ISO 16,000 you say ... amazing. You know RRS has 30 day return/exchange, right? -
Greg - Ouch! Sorry for that. Hope it heals quickly. CJ ... interesting insights, and you'll come through it ok. Raffy the plastics man ... Dr Feelup. Chris ... it only takes one buyer, and at full price, it appears you are sitting pretty. I guess best of all would be full price, all cash, no conditions, and timetable to your liking. A seller can dream. Nate ... Northeaster season, wot?
-
Happy Birthday, Dom and Adrian. Hope you both had great days.

Ari, thanks for the history lesson, and, yes, I do see the Old World to New World transition, but, fuck, if the Bruins or Blackhawks, or even the fucking Caps couldn't kick any curling team's asses. As to Garfunkel and Oates, sure, I'd do them (wouldn't any of us?), and, yes, sports are way over done in the good old U.S. of A. Wait, what was I saying? Suddenly I want Sushi. I must have Sushi. Someone bring me some fucking Sushi. -
^^ Yeah, Ernie was was was a class act. Too bad he never played in or saw a Cubs World Series.
-
Shelly ... no worries re: Super Bowl. Not much suspense, as my Patriots will be playing with customized footballs, and smashmouth the Seahawks like they never saw before. My only complaint is that the game is in effing Arizona ... please, can't we go back to the day when the NFL championship was at the home stadium of the team with the best record? I fear there will never be another Ice Bowl or Miracle in the Snow at Foxborough. Who's with me?

SI sucks ... just ask Carl. I agree it's a business thing, and they likely got a ton of stuff from independents, but still sucks. Is Nat Geo next? Jeff, I've owned and shot with 14-24, 16-35 and an old 20, 2.8 D. Loved them all, but in a ranking, it would go like this: 1: 14-24. 2: 20 2.8, 3: 16-35. If starting over, I'd grab the 20 first, because it's so small and easy to carry. -

So, Colin ... is Hock(e)y now like Whisk(e)y? Is this some Hipster, Douche, Sports thing I've missed out on? Please keep me informed of this stuff ... it's hard to figure out without a guide. -
Grahame ... 'grats on the successful first injection, and yea, bacon, for providing a suitable entry point. Shelly, SB at your house sounds great - Go Pats!
