I totally agree. The only thing that reminds me that Avast is installed is once a month or so I get a notification that an update has been installed. For all I know, nothing is being installed as I blissfully go on about my way. That's the way I like it!

Can't say I recall either finding anything but I may be wrong.

I've been using the free version of Avast for a while and it seems okay. I also have Malwarebytes and use it when I think there may be something fishy going on right after I download something. Both of these are more of a security blanket since I can't say I'm sure that either has saved me but they do help a ocd guy like me stop worrying.

I became a big fan of the Starz Original Series "Black Sails" which is loosely based on the characters from Treasure Island. Yup, pirates. But not Disney pirates. These guys had a lot of depth and you couldn't help but relate to even the worst of them. This show is produced by Michael Bay so there are plenty of big battles but what really sold me was the story and the characters. So I binged the final season 4 this week and I'm very sorry to think that there won't be more. The series starts a little slowly but I think it's excellent.

Sounds like your earpads are doing a similar thing to mine (mine are a little tacky too but shedding black). Out of curiosity, do you keep your 800's where they're exposed to sunlight. I'm not talking about direct sunlight. Reason I ask is mine are shedding only on the back and I keep mine laying on their fronts. UV making the material shed? Also, mine are pretty early manufacture (sn# 06459).

To say that I was looking forward to the first race of 2017 is a huge understatement! And Melbourne didn't disappoint! Once those big flat cars pulled away from the grid, all my troubles went by the wayside. Looking forward to China!

This weekend starts the 2017 edition of SXSW. As usual, an unbelievable number of cool stuff. So I'm always thankful for NPR doing their "Austin 100". A bin of 100 mp3's from artists that will perform at the festival.
