LOL! That pic is kind of deceptive (meant to be just pretty). The pair of foot tracks are going down the private road of our complex. After a couple of days and another foot or so, our HOA hired a plow to open that road to the main highway that was already cleared. I just had to shovel a car width and sidewalk for 15 feet or so. Anyway, I think it's pretty rare to get this much snow around here (climate change?).

After the latest snow here in Oregon, I need to buy a real snow shovel (got a couple of regular ones). Any buying advice from members in "real" snow country? Here's a pic out of my garage door on Monday.

Some interesting books on vinyl. Can't say that I agree that these are all essential for collectors but I will look into a couple for sure (Record Stores, Do not Sell At Any Price). https://thevinylfactory.com/features/25-essential-books-for-record-collectors/

Awesome Mikey! I'm happy to say that I've seen Linda a few times. First at the American Music Hall and later, with Neil Young at the Omni (both in Atlanta). No matter what the size of the venue, she instantly lights up a space with that voice.

Stumbled across this. Be sure and stick around for Linda Ronstadt's bit.

RIP Frank Robinson and Albert Finney. I'm a big fan of Finney and his role in Miller's Crossing is my favorite.

Don't know about Trash but Iris 2 for $29 is insane! It's in my top 3 synths (of course I'm no huge expert,.. on anything). This sale make me want to buy it again! BTW I'm a big believer in doing that kind of stuff Dusty. If you really love that effect, you might want to take the time to build a sample instrument with it so you'll always have it.

Yes, Soundflower is actually excellent. I'm not sure if you'll need it but there used to be a companion app called Flowerbed that put an icon into your menu bar so you didn't have to open Audio Midi Setup to enable/disable it. If you have a couple of Output choices to decide on (like Built In or your audio interface) it's just as easy to just switch between inputs and outputs in Audio Midi Setup. Anyway, good stuff IMHO. BTW, I remembered that the last time I was using it was to do some sound design stuff in the Unreal video game engine.

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Sounds like you've found the distortion you want so I'm with you Dusty. You could spend days trying to find a plugin setting to do something similar but by then, the inspiration goes poof. So, you just need to make using it as easy as possible. Is Soundflower working for you?
-
Yup. I'm embarrassed to say that I've been trying to remember what I was using it for but for the life of me,.. Whatever it was, I've had to install it a few times for some kind of audio workaround?

I've been enjoying the hell out of The Crown on Netflix. I've never been the sort of person interested in the lives of the rich and famous but this series (so far, just finished season 1) is so lavish and extravagant that it's almost as if David Lean came back to make a "high end tv show". Wonderful scenery, sets, costumes and acting.

The sound of those older (2011) F1 cars makes my heart go pitter patter! Thanks!

Sounds like something I might have to pick up! I was lucky enough to have seen Hendrix perform that at the Atlanta Pop Festival on July 4 1970.

Wow Mikey! A great example of something we've evolved the taste clean out of.

Inspiring stuff. Thanks Antonio!
