  1. Thanks Mikey. This one is pretty dense. Just the piano parts were a bear to edit. I'm not sure how many "hands" it would take to play that part but thats a problem for another day. Here's a snapshot of a few measures of the piano midi in Logic.
  2. Thanks for your thoughts Antonio! It's my hopes that listeners see and feel images and emotions that are unique to the individual. Yours are very cool!
  3. I'm always delighted to see Selling England getting some love around here! On a different note,.. My latest contribution to putting a strain on your auditory tolerance!
  4. Jose, terrible news for you and all the folks effected by the fires! I know I'm late to reading about this but even when the immediate danger is passed, there is always a lot of recovery to deal with. Keep your spirits up!
  5. For those of you with DAW's capable of multi-tracks, I have a few files you guys might find interesting/fun to mess with. I put them up on my Google Drive and for some members of an archivists list (LOC) to download. They'll be publicly available for a week so if you're interested, get em while they're hot. Multi-tracks for David Bryne/Eno - Help Me Somebody and A Secret LifeStems from 4 tracks from Sgt Peppers (Beatles) Stems of Janis Joplin Multi-track of Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) Stems for Superstition (Stevie Wonder) Multis for Tangerine Dream Dante’s Rebirth https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NmIXVP4IW5r-_knzRUf2gtry4Oosnaz2?usp=sharing
  6. Yup, sad to think he's gone.
  7. That looks about as "out there" as I've seen. I'm guessing the builder is an interesting person (if I don't already know him/her)!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Pretty sure that was Blessing that drove. Either way, that is one awesome band!
  10. Wow! That must've been amazing. I saw an interview with Washington and IIRC, he was saying that Shorter's band was as tight and in tune with each other as human beings were capable of.
  11. Should be awesome Mikey! Here's a (shaky but) cool video for the after.
  12. RIP Peter Always wanted to be a stud like Captain America.
  13. Why is that cat wearing a bow tie in the middle of the day?
  14. Happy (very) belated Birthday Todd! Hope it was awesome!
  15. I got one of the Amazon Chase cards a while back and I've been super happy with all the perks. BTW, if you need a pretty nice Mac interface/preamp, you can borrow my spare Metric Halo ULN-2 + dsp (2D card). I only use it for field work these days so I wouldn't miss it for a couple of months. Just ask. Duh,.. Just remembered that the ULN-2 is a firewire device. One of these days I'll upgrade it to 3D (usb-c and ethernet) for now, I use it with my 2012 MBP. But, if you can use it ask.
  16. RIP Toni Morrison I stand and bow as an artist as important as Morrison passes.
  17. Barrington Pheloung dies at 65 years old. I'm a great admirer of the themes he composed for Morse/Lewis/Endeavour. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-49190169
  18. Interesting stuff from the motherland (the article referenced in the comments on Japanese Music Coffeehouses is worth a glance too).
  19. I imagine most Mac users are aware that Catalina will be the first osx that is 64 bit only. What that means is that some older applications/executables that haven't been updated from 32 bit to 64 will no longer work once 10.15 is installed. IMHO it's kind of crazy that developers haven't updated their apps considering the 64 bit handwriting has been on the wall since before 2011. Anywho, if you want to check your system for 32 bit apps you depend on and need to replace, here's a free app that will let you know where you stand. Just point it at your Applications folder (it's default will start checking it automatically) and maybe your plugins folder (root level Library>Audio>Plugins). I was happy to find only 31 apps/plugins that need some updating in my system. https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/index.html
  20. German GP- First wet race of the year was as crazy as you could hope! So far this year, there have been a couple of yawners, but it would be tough to beat the excitement of the last 3!
  21. Happy Birthday Antonio! Over medicate yourself!
  22. RIP Rutger!
  23. RIP Art.
  24. I'm a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright. I stumbled across this excellent program produced by KCET in LA and I thought it was awesome.
  25. No lack of action in Silverstone this year (gotta love the Verstappen/Leclerc show)! Lots of encouraging progress from the mid pack teams too.
