True enough, but we all have our favorite movies just like we do with music. Thus, we're sometimes willing to pay for format upgrades hoping that we'll get the last 5% or even 1% that was left on the table the last time around. That, and the extras, of course.

For anyone who has watched The Big Lebowski, oh say 20 times or so like I have, you'll get a kick out of this discussion at Amazon about when we can expect to see TBL on Bluray: It's down there somewhere, let me take another look...

We need The Big Lebowski on Bluray. Such a fuckin' travesty, man.

Love that guitar, Shelly! The Cars: Move Like This The Flight of the Reindeer... Bottom of the 33rd...

That you have a life and are committed to your work will appeal to him if he's the 'worth it' type.

The Cars new album "Move Like This" which will be released officially this Tuesday. It's been available for online streaming for several days. You can listen here. This is their first album in 24 years, and of course Ben Orr's vocals are missed badly. Ric sings lead on all songs, and as he's admitted himself, were Ben still alive, he probably would have sung half of them. Blue Tip, Sad Song, Free, Hit Me and parts of other songs have elements of classis Cars sound we knew and loved in the late 70s. Most of the rest of the album is passable but sounds more like a Ric Osasek solo album; not quite the snappy pace I would have preferred, but hey, not too shabby after 24 years!

I seem to have this kind of experience at least once every other week. I'm forever rediscovering what I like and/or don't like about all sorts of headphones. Most recently the PS-1 and SA5000. It would be hard to find two headphones that are any more different from each other than these two, but both can be fantastic in their own ways depending on one's mood and the music being played.

Waiting for Steve's spin on this one! -
May have just blasphemed on Facebook... on Easter Sunday!!! Friend of mine posted: "The Lord is Risen! Alleluia!" to which I replied, "He's an early riser, eh?" since it was before 6am her time when she posted about Him waking up. Then I quickly posted, "Or she..." since my friend is a feminist and would be quick to point out that possibility if I hadn't. But then, she often confuses Obama for the Lord, so maybe my reference to "He" was ok?

Amazing. Crawling out of bed and into the shower is challenge enough for me.

Looks like Matt the Younger.

Afterbirthers demand to see Obama's placenta

Love the Star Wars thing, and must say, she's pretty hot for a headless girl as well.

Ha! Would have never seen that.

Happy doubly big birthday, Ethan!

Don't get me wrong, Rose very well could be league MVP this year, and deservedly so. Want to see what he does for a couple more years before I'll concede on Rose > Pippen. Scottie was one of the best to ever play the game, although overshadowed by MJ. I'm still happy that Kansas beat Rose and company in the 2008 national championship game. As for other Bulls greats, Rose is laughably > Bob "Butterbean" Love, Chet Walker, Norn Van Lier, Reggie Theus, and anyone else ever to earn a little respect around town.
-
My guess is that eventually he'll be thought of as the second best player to ever wear a Bulls uniform. Still have to put Pippen ahead of him, but suspect that will change in time. Don't think he'll ever dethrone MJ though.
-
Anything interesting here, or same old, same old? Fun to see the Bulls doing so well and the emergence of Derrick Rose as a prime time player. My brother and his boys were at the game today in Chicago to witness a 16-1 run by the Bulls in the last 2 and a half minutes of the game to pull it off. Not counting on much though. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers and Celtics in the finals, as usual.

Shelly, Beefy, Al... my thoughts are with all of you and your families. Scary times like you're experiencing now remind us all of how fragile life can be.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the original Bat out of Hell album was fantastic, at least in its day. It says 1977 as well as any album I can think of, and 1977 was a really good year in music. The problem was, Meat Loaf just didn't go anywhere from there. BOOH 2, BOOH 3, BOOH Live. It was all nonsense because they had simply run out of talent and ideas with their one album worth listening to. "My Aim is True" also came out in 1977, and thankfully EC has had a lot more to say ever since.

No, you should just say, "Luckily, I don't care what other people think of me." Period. Full stop. Ok, so maybe you kind of, sort of, care. You care in the sense that it's human nature to want to fit in and be liked, etc. But at the end of the day, you just need to be Ok with yourself, and you seem to be.

That's his way of saying that you're an annoying fuck no matter how you slice the cards. Glad to know that you're not the only one who has ever heard such a personality critique.
