The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post

Glad you explained, because I just see the inside of your car and some shrubbery. I thought perhaps you wanted one... -
Meh... I've got no horse in the race at this point, so I'm just wanting to see both series go 7 games and down to the wire in each of those 7th games with lots of drama. So to that end, Go Dodgers! and Go Tigers! in their respective Game 6 performances! Then if Boston and St. Louis can close it out in Game 7, more power to each of them. That said, it would still be evil fun to watch a full stadium of Cardinals fans sitting there with stunned looks on their faces as the Dodgers celebrate on their field. Then Al could really get pumped up about his Red Sox beating his nemesis Dodgers in the WS. But truthfully, I can't see either the Tigers or Dodgers pulling it out at this point. That closer for the Red Sox is lights out. Automatic. You bat now. Ok, sit down. Now you bat. Ok, sit down... he doesn't even let anyone get on base!

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1382035484.303098.jpg There's a guy that look a little like him here in Cayman that I've been going out to see for years now. It's been a while, but I'm told he's still there. They're very territorial and like to hide in little caves of sort, but the dive guys know how to draw them out, mostly with food. You can get to within about 10 feet, but no closer or he'll jump out at you and then quickly repel. It's fascinating. Wish I had an underwater camera housing, but I don't dive often enough to justify the cost. Thankfully, the guy I go to see stays put and hasn't moved in years and years. In the open water, you MUST stay clear of them, or they WILL come and get you. Watch the video of this dude...

Pop Market, Aqualung box set. http://www.popmarket.com/jethro-tull-aqualung-40th-anniversary-deluxe-box/details/26770473 Not really a "deal" as such at $105 for yet another of these "super deluxe" anniversary box sets, but maybe saves $15-20 off of the Amazon price. In any case, the point is that there is ALWAYS something about these box sets that presents a "hook" and in this case it's the Bluray (audio only) that is included in the box set but not otherwise available in any way, shape or form. Not just any ole Bluray, but a magic disc that allows the listener to hear Aqualung as it's never been heard before in a brilliant quad mix (produced in 4.1, although it's called 5.1) that is apparently extraordinary. So, really... it is a big deal... and I really want to freaking hear it... but for $105!?!?!?! URGH. Making matters worse, now that EMI has been sold, it's anyone's guess as to how long this box set may be available. What sucks is that everything else in the package is throwaway. I've got the 180g vinyl version already. I've got all of the CD mixes. I don't give a crap about the book and more pictures of Ian Anderson's ugly mug... This on the heels of having spent a very similar sum of cash just yesterday on the SMiLE Sessions box set (which has been available for a couple of years now)... finally caved in, because it too had the hook of revealing all sorts on interesting discoveries about the whole mysterious process surrounding the album that never was. So you either shell out the dough, or you never get to hear it for yourself. They're smart, these mega box set making motherfuckers, especially when they can add a hook that they know will get you because of its exclusivity.

Time to see who is wearing the big boy pants now, in both series. Getting interesting...

Sorry, just wrong. But too funny not to post. -
Congrats to the Sox fans. Dang, so many pitching duels in both of these series.

That police officer or security guy... whatever... was funny to watch. The player lands on his head and this dude takes a step or two toward him and then suddenly walks away and back toward the gate opening in the fence as if to say, "Ehh, not my department."
-
Wow! Just wow. Talk about a team with fight.

^ He certainly has a calmness about him. I suspect that it won't fully hit him for a while. That was just so messed up. There seems to be a pretty strong presumption that this Patterson guy was responsible for it and that it was indeed abuse, but they're being guarded with the facts. I just wish that some alternative explanation could exist that will give Peterson and his family some peace. An accident of any kind would have to be less horrible to live with than the thought of a grown man beating a 2 year old child to death.

I giggled when reading that "we'll" be receiving a pair at the "Head-Fi HQ." Somewhere near to his laptop at the breakfast nook?

Great play by the Red Sox SS to end the threat in the top of the 9th... drama unfolding in Boston big time tonight.

The "Totally Upside Down Boat" is based on the movie Poseidon Adventure (1972, which may not be surprising). It was the first movie that my brother and I and a neighborhood friend were allowed to go to on our own. My mom dropped us off and then came back for us afterwards. What I remember most was the ending where they were all trying to climb up to the bottom of the boat. The final scene was actually quite good (or at least I remember it that way). There was all kinds of commotion, everything was on fire, and of course there was water pouring in as well, and it was quite a dark scene other than the light from the fires. As we walked out of the movie theater, it was now dark outside and the hotel across the street was burning down with 3 fire trucks trying to fight it, but to no avail. It was later ruled as arson. The whole place was ablaze, it was dark, and there was water and commotion everywhere. It felt like I was still watching the movie. -
Al, you're really having your way, man! The golden sombrero from Puig didn't help the Dodgers cause at all. 10 at bats, 6 strikeouts, 0 hits from the superstar so far. Good luck in the Red Sox game. I'm indifferent between them and the Tigers. Red Sox win, Todd the Junkie man is pissed. Tigers win, Al and Gene are pissed. Hate to see any of you guys suffer, but Todd will get over it so I'm in your camp so long as the Dodgers beat the Cardinals!

Paint on a speaker at 2500 fps. Maybe a test that Tyll could add to those headphones that fail all of Tyll's other tests! http://www.wimp.com/paintspeaker/ (The last minute or so is pretty cool.) -
