  1. ^ Really strange that both teams would wear uniforms with the same colors. Makes it look like he's scoring a goal for the wrong team, but I assume that's not the case.
  2. I'm sick of all of the sensationalized reporting about this tragic event. Let these men rest. They've lost their lives in a horrific accident, but thankfully (more than likely) didn't suffer more than a few moments of fear. Yes, he was a handsome man and a well known actor, but now he's dead. Quit with all of the bullshit videos and what Vin Diesel thinks. Let these young men rest. Mourn their deaths respectfully. What the fuck is wrong with all of these fools in the media and the millions of idiots they feed with this nonsense?
  3. Maybe if it was Johnnie Walker, to which I'm partial.
  4. Brushy, the one string guitarist. The guy is amazing...
  5. After reading through a bunch of the comments on that thread, I'm really wondering whether any of this even happened at all. Guy has a history of making up this kind of stuff, and it would then be plausible that he or someone else could have also made up the Diane back story as well.
  6. This is funny. http://www.complex.com/tech/2013/11/thanksgiving-plane-fight-elan-gale
  7. Just awful. I'm gutted. So sad to lose two young lives in this manner, no matter who they are and it happens all too often. My heart goes out to the families and friends they left behind.
  8. Was up early working today as Santa to be part of the official starting of the Cayman Islands marathon at 5am. Back home out of suit taking a break for a couple of hours. More Santa events later today for a total of 14 since Thursday.
  9. I don't know. It looks very British to me, taste-wise, but I'd have to see the matching leisure suit to know for sure.
  10. Ya mon, happy birthday, mi breddah.
  11. America: nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/28/walmart-fight-black-friday_n_4357939.html
  12. For sure, for sure, have the best birthday ever!
  13. There was an armed robbery at a small store in Little Cayman today. Mind you, Little Cayman has a population of only 125 people, so where did they think they would go? Turns out it was 5 Jamaicans who arrived by boat (what they call a 'canoe' but not the type that I'm familiar with, apparently with an out board motor and capable of moving through rough seas at high speeds). So, of course, people saw them leave and called Grand Cayman, and within an hour the helicopter spotted them and the marine unit picked them up. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall of that Ocean's 11 planning session. Let's see, gas to go 160 miles each way, rob a small gift shop and split the take 5 ways. Can't wait to see who these professors are.
  14. Yup, obviously something that anyone could make for themselves, but I just like the idea for the novelty effect of it. Also feels good when I support small businesses that take a chance and create something kind of cool is American made, etc.
  15. I actually ordered the Stout model (like the 2 tone wood effect). By using HOLIDAY as a discount code, you "save" $10 meaning that you only throw away $55 instead of $65. Figure I've spent more money in more foolish ways. The website was a little tricky to work with, but I eventually figured out how to get my order processed properly. At times, it was adding sales tax, and then at times it wasn't. When all was said and done, $55 was my total with no sales tax or shipping cost added.
  16. I'm thinking some of you good ole boys might just like this here thing here! I know I do. http://dropandcatch.com/ I'm thinking about ordering the Amber Ale with 60 pounds of pull force. Don't know if I'm manly enough (wallet-wise) to swing the 100 pounds of pull force model.
  17. Yup, he's good people. Wish he checked in here every now and then but I haven't seen him post in ages.
  18. Scary moment, indeed, Ric. Nice of you to be able to see that perhaps his life isn't so great. You're a compassionate man. But the main thing is that Esme wasn't harmed! Incidentally, I need to figure out where that e key with the tilde is, in her honor. Such a great name.
  19. Happy birthday, Jason!
  20. Made my first Santa appearance tonight, a tree lighting ceremony at Camana Bay, which is a large and quite nice outdoor shopping "mini city" and cultural center. The crowd was estimated at 3,000. They were expecting 4,000+ but there was some light rain. It's good to be back at it, just as fun and wonderful in every way as ever. My schedule is getting quite full again this year. I'll probably end up doing 70-80 events. Last year was 66, if I remember correctly, and there is all sorts of new stuff on my schedule already. One lady was so anxious to book me on a Saturday this year, that she was willing to pay me to ride along with me from one event to another so that her kids can get some private time with Santa! Ok, whatever. It's your money, lady! We've worked out a good story for explaining why I'm traveling in a convertible instead of by sleigh. Rudolph and a couple of the other reindeer took off on a joy ride in the sleigh, so we're going to have to drive around looking up in the sky trying to find them. Meanwhile, they'll get to sift through the toy bag and candy bag and pick out what they like, and then will get to serve as honorary elves at the next event. It will be a surprise to the kids. We have it arranged whereby as I'm leaving from the first event (where her kids know that they're coming to see me at), I'll drive past her outside the parking lot as she's getting ready to leave the event, and then invite the whole family into my car to help me find the reindeer. Once we arrive at the next event, I'll say, "Oh, there are a lot of children here. Maybe they can help us too!" Then off we go to start event #2. I told her that it would probably be best if they only helped me for about 15 minutes or so, and then they could magically bump into her sister who can give them a ride back to their car. The kids won't know what hit them, and she insists on paying my standard fee for a 1 hour home visit, which ain't cheap these days...
  21. This is absolutely freaking brilliant! http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/11/21/chris-farley-rob-ford-movie_n_4319144.html?just_reloaded=1
  22. Eww... got me! You have follow the rainbow and read the signs.
  23. Were you interested in the girls or the bears?
