  1. Who didn't love Roscoe? RIP, James Best, you were indeed the best. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=roscoe+dukes+laugh+video&FORM=VIRE1#view=detail&mid=B88BCD1BB360DA2A79DDB88BCD1BB360DA2A79DD
  2. Apologies if I've posted this before, but it makes me giggle...
  3. ^ This guy posting above is legit. He's my neighbor and a good friend. I didn't know Bob Soto myself, but he was definitely a legendary figure in the diving industry. So I watched college basketball instead...
  4. Some lesser known facts about March Madness... http://www.theonion.com/articles/dick-vitale-more-sexual-during-march-madness-wife,2686/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=LinkPreview:NA:InFocus
  5. Dancing in heaven indeed. Sadly, he lost both legs to diabetes. Also, interesting that he was stage hand who was "discovered" dancing alone one day so they just made him part of the shtick. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/gong-show-gene-gene-dancing-machine-dies-82-article-1.2149430
  6. Happy birthday, Fitz!
  7. Happy birthday, Nate!
  8. Happy birthday, Craig!
  9. RIP Minnie Minoso, another pioneer in terms of race relations in professional sports. http://www.wsj.com/articles/minnie-minoso-mlbs-first-black-latino-star-dies-1425232870 My dad, who grew up watching him play and was a huge White Sox fan for his entire life, just thought the world of him and always felt that he should have made the Hall of Fame. They had their chance again this year (via the veterans committee) and yet again blew it. Now that he's dead, I'm sure the schmucks will finally elect him in like they did several years ago with Ron Santo.
  10. ...and a kitchen table when eating Mexican or Chinese food.
  11. Happy birthday, Naaman!
  12. Not a trekkie either, but Spock was an iconic character who has always reminded me of the simpler times and of my happy, small town childhood. You played him oh so well Mr. Nimoy. RIP.
  13. RIP Earl Lloyd, who died today at age 86. He was the NBA's Jackie Robinson. He broke the color barrier in 1950 and like Jackie was always a gentleman and remained a true ambassador of his sport throughout his life. http://www.nba.com/sixers/community/earl_lloyd_050208.html
  14. Happy birthday, Ed.
  15. Happy birthday, Steve.
  16. Happy birthday, Dan.
  17. Happy birthday!
  18. For your valentine. http://elitedaily.com/news/world/edible-anus-chocolate-butthole-mold/932939/ The video at the bottom of the page is kind of funny, although he looks too much like some of my Santa friends. This isn't comforting.
  19. RIP, Dean Smith. One hell of a basketball coach, and from all accounts, an equally good man. http://www.unc.edu/spotlight/carolinas-dean-smith-passes-away-age-83/
  20. Happy birthday, Jeff.
