They received the player Friday, and I got a VM from them saying that they had verified the problem (The first hurtle is finding the problem) and that the required part (the drive that they had installed had failed) is on order. They however did not mention how long it was going to be until the part arrives. Then I am having them send the player to Exemplar in WA. for the latest mods, and a going over. So I'll be lucky if I have it back in 4 weeks, probably 5 or 6

Write a letter to Tweeters CEO COO ect. You'd be amazed at what they'll do when you piss up high.

Gold by its self is not a very good conductor. Silver is the best conductor, Copper is approximately 5.4% less conductive than Silver, then Gold clocks in at a whopping 28.31% less conductive than Silver.

As scandal after scandal is revealed, and the current government passes law after law basically dismantling the great society, tax cuts where75% of the cuts go to the richest 1% of the population, tax cuts when the deficit is at unparalleled levels, Soldiers dying for no known reason, I can?t help but wonder where is the Fucking OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!! >

Ah.. The true down side to a modded unit. Exemplar will fix the Exemplar bits, and Denon fixes the Denon bits. Hopefully it is repairable. I have a Pioneer DV563 and frankly it just doesn?t cut it. For a spare source I was using the 563 digital out to my EAD 7000 D/A, not in the Exemplars league but listenable. Now the 7000 is failing to lock on to the digital input from the Pioneer. I?m hoping it?s the Pioneers output that is bad, not the 7000. I?m toying with the idea of buying a spare player. I?ve heard good things about the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C. The exact quote was ?A steal at $600?. I?ll have to sell some stuff to raise the necessary funds.

Well I am fucking sourceless again . My Exemplar 3910 developed a problem in March. I sent it to the most experienced (at working on modified Denons)repair depot in the country. They took seven weeks . ,$320 including shipping, and it?s got a fucking worse problem than when I sent it to them . Now it?s going to be at least another $100 in shipping and however long it takes them this time. I?m not totally sourceless, but I am lacking a quality source. I?m pissed.

I picked Silver because it's the closest to what really is best. Silver-Gold not that I am biased in the least

The NSA has a secret and most knowledgeable people feel illegal domestic spying program. Investigators at the justice department were attempting to investigate this secret spying program to determine if it was legal. The NSA replied that you need a security clearance to have access to the program. Where do you get the clearance? Why from the NSA of course. The NSA denied the justice departments request for clearance to see the program. Since the Justice department could not gain access to the required information they dropped the investigation. True. So our current administration can do ANYTHING that they want with no concern about whether it?s legal or not. All they have to do is call their actions ?Secret?. Since they seem to be able to dictate who has the ability to see any classified information. We are living in a fascist plutocracy. Our Government has become the enemy of the people.

I?ve hated Harley ever since they cried to the FTC in 82. The tariff on all import motorcycles (750cc+) went from less than 5% to 49.9%. They claimed unfair yada yada yada. Like my 82 GS-1000S Katana competed in any way with any Harley. It also didn?t help their case with me when they forced the AMA to bend the rules to allow their god awful VR-1000 into Superbike racing (It Never won) . They also changed their franchise agreement forcing longtime dealers to either redo their store (Fit the corporate mold) or loose the franchise. That is the main reason you don?t see any more mom and pop dealerships. I feel that form follows function. That?s why I think sport bikes are beautiful. If you feel Harleys are better looking then more power to you. As far as my taking it too seriously, you are the one that insinuated that if you don?t ride a Harley then you?re not a real man. I didn?t see a smiley face or whatever. So you were serious, right? If you believe that I think all Harley riders are pussies then you must have missed the Dancing icon. Most maybe, but not all. Most Hayabusa owners absolutely have major issues and need to prove something by having the fastest motorcycle. I don?t really fall in that category. I have a Hayabusa because I am a really big guy and it takes a very fast motorcycle to haul me around. Have I gone fast? Absolutely. I'm now a slow poke, I seldom go over ninety. My next bike is likely to be a BMW GS. I?m so sorry if I upset you. As I was writing that post I was laughing so hard tears were coming out of my eyes. It was two years worth of pent up rant against Harley, not you. I knew that it probably went too far, but I was compelled to post it. Sorry. You own Siltech, well then at least you have good taste as far as cables go. DOH! Kidding See I don't even know if you were really pissed or not, the signing off with Pretzels confuses me.

It depends on what your definition of ?Real Men? is. If the definition is: Someone who rides a motorcycle that can be outperformed by any 1970?s Japanese Superbike or modern 500cc class sportbike, then yes real men ride Harleys. If the definition is: Someone who rides a motorcycle that is all image and marketing, then yes real men ride Harleys. If the definition is: Someone who is so cheap that they buy a motorcycle because it ?Has lower depreciation? then yes real men ride Harleys. If the definition is: Someone who is so terrified of making turns that they buy a motorcycle that discourages doing so, then yes real men ride Harleys. If the definition is: Someone who is so insecure in their own manhood that they actually buy into the marketing and image that says ?Real Men Ride Harleys? that they go out and buy a Harley and then they have to repeat the saying that ?Real Men Ride Harleys? at every chance, then yes real men ride Harleys. If the definition is: Someone who so desperately wants to be one of the village people that they buy a Harley so they can wear all of the super black leather, then yes real men ride Harleys. All jokes aside, whether you are a real ?Man? or not depends on what you do, and say, not on what you ride. Now what determines if you are a pussy IS determined by what you ride, and PUSSIES RIDE HARLEYS!!!

I posted this thread over at head-fi, and not one other person has posted their bike. http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=177139. WTF are you telling me that Head-Fiers truly are a bunch of geeks that have no interest in riding motorcycles and going fast? Look at the last photo. Can anyone else show proof that they have gone faster on two wheels or even four wheels? FYI speedometers are wildly inaccurate; usually they are 15% to 30% optimistic at high speeds. I?ve owned motorcycles that I rode and the speedometers indicated that I was going 140 mph. When in reality the bikes top speed under perfect conditions was around 120 mph (118 according to tests).

At the National I was told $13,000 US retail. Now to see if they can find ten morons to buy the limited production run.

The standard manufacturing to retail formula for audio is 1 to 5. That?s to normal retail, i.e. dealer sales. The ratio for direct sales should normally be on the order of 1 to 3. A manufacturer can use whatever ratio they feel their customers will accept. Actually now that I think of it the formula that I mentioned tends to include labor as well as parts cost. I?m not in the habit of dissecting what the components of a product cost, but I find it difficult to imagine that a Raptor?s parts cost and labor comes to only $210. I?m not a Ray FanBoy, but I also tend to take most of the Ray bashing on this site with a grain of salt.

This is a seriously nice amp. Sounded very good driving my SA5000's. If it retailed in the $3000 to $5000 range it would be a contender. I don't remember exactly what it sells for but I believe that it is north of $10,000. at that price it is seriously over-priced. Still it does sound very good.

I checked out some speakers today and I'm in the middle of writing up some short impressions. Auditioned today were the B&W 805 & 804, the Sonus Faber Concerto, and the Dynaudio Audience 72 SE. Of those, the closest to the 650 is the Dynaudio, but I don't think it meets the criteria of very good mids & tight bass. Guitars sounded muffled and the strings didn't ring out very well, and in terms of dynamics it just sounded dead. The Concerto was the most lush sounding of them, a little too lush & mellow, plus it had some issues with the bass which I found to be too slow & a bit too "one note". Really nice with Kate Bush & Sarah Slean, but when the pace picked up and it was asked to rock, it couldn't. Which leaves the B&W's. Not as lush as the Sonus Faber, but still a bit on the warm side. Highs were a little zingy until we switched it to a warmer amp, but other than that there were no real issues. Had the best dynamics & drive, and was equally happy playing grungy rock & blues as sweet female vocal music. The 804 has a fair bit more bass & a bit more fullness to the midrange than the 805, and it sounds more at ease, otherwise they're pretty close. Also of interest, they also had the best soundstage & imaging by far. They could project sounds that come from only a couple feet in front of me and well off to the sides, the wrap-around effect was freaky. Out of all the speakers I've heard to date, I think the Dynaudio Special 25 is the one that comes closest to what you're looking for. Similar sound signature as the 72 SE, but without the problems and with much better detail & resolution. Problem is I'm pretty sure it's a heck of a lot more than $3000.

I told you that I?d be your ?ugly MDF w/ threaded bolts rack.?, but only if you never told anyone. Just see if you?ll ever have me come over for any more kinky audio oriented role playing games. I?m done.

Obviously Siltechs Compass Lake Phono Cable. The worlds best phono cable, and a steal at $10,200 for a 1 meter set.

I use a Synergy Rack with two Symposium Ultra Platforms as shelves. The UP made a big difference. If you do a search for ?Vibration? and Yikes over at Head-Fi you?ll find my thread with pictures. Sometime this summer I?ll be upgrading to a Symposium ISIS rack. IMHO the best isolation rack made. After I get the ISIS I will likely be selling my Ultra Platforms. Hint Hint, they fit in a Synergy.

Say. I?m getting a Mercedes SL500, Which options should I get? Oh. They?re coming out with new options soon, don?t worry I won?t have spare money for a car for at least a while. WTF How to waste everyone?s time -
Congratulations! You?ll soon be another zombie working for the massive Corpocracy. As you sell your soul working for the ?Man? (SATAN) remember you?ll be part of the problem instead of the solution. CONGRATULATION!!

Huh Why's that a big deal? Just about any cable that is slapped onto a KSC35/75 is going to be more expensive than the phones. Now here is the way it's done. The lime green background really brings out its eyes

They are the best headphones under $ 29.95, wait make that they are the best headphones under $ 31.65 My set fell apart in about a month so they're not as good a deal as some make them out to be.
