I know I like 1702s in my Denon DA-500... My DVM-4800 has the 1704s, and while I remember it as a big jump up from the DCM-560 with the 1700s, I have't compared it to the DA-500 yet.

I guess I can take you off my Ingnore list over there now. Though to be honest, I can't even remember why you went on there. :shrug: The joys of the ignore list.

I just can't figure out how they don't get enough lacqer on there to fill in all the end grain that shows up as pitting on the face. It takes an extra step of sanding and re-applying clear and it's gone, and the cups look much better for it. :shrug: That said, the font doesn't bother me, and I too prefer the buttonless look.

My 5G 60GB Video running Rockbox has been great, but I have to remove music to put new music on. That wasn't tough for a while... There was a lot of stuff I didn't miss. Blades of Glory was entertaining, and I'm glad I watched it. But I couldn't help but feel they missed an absolutely great opportunity with the premise and the people involved. But it certainly had its moments, and it's worth for more Jenna Fisher x2. Currently watching the clock slowly move to 5PM.

While not truely full-sized, I really like the K81DJ with the addition of the Senn HD-25 velour pads. The bass is overpowering when stock, but they sound realtively balanced with the pad change. I'm sure there are better options out there, but at the price point, I've been very happy with them. IEMs were just irritating my ears, so I went with these for the long bus trips I have when coaching, and they do a decent job of isolating.

After he listened to the Edition 9s, Nate was like "You won't like them." That was all I needed to know! His description of what he heard sounded like everything I try to avoid... Maybe one day I'll give 'em a listen, but yesterday at the Boston meet was not that day!
