I just finished that after lunch... Enthrone Darkness Triumphant... Great call. I know crazy genre people think Dimmu Borgir is too mainstream or too polished to be considered true Black Metal, but whatever... EDT was their highpoint IMO. I didn't care for the more prominent symphonic elements they added later.

Sarah McLachlan's Afterglow, huh? I don't think I've spun that disc since the week it came out. Blah to the 1,000th degree. I'm thinking she peaked with Fumbling Towards Ecstacy, though a few of my favorite songs, especially "Witness" are from the (wildly uneven) follow up to FTE, Surfacing.

My favorite is a couple in town who have a Prius with the vanity plate "OURPART" and their other vehicle is an older Range Rover V8. Hahahahahahaha...

Wow, I think I saw one for $1200 or $1300 fairly recently. I've stopped looking, though, because it's certainly not in the cards for me any time soon.

I was in the same boat... I heard a few samples, loved what I heard and tracked it down. But I haven't hear enough to really get a feel for it. It arrived here at work about 30 minutes ago. A side note... The best place I found to get it was through Amazon Marketplace sellers. Despite an announced May 20th release date, local shops couldn't find it in their systems, likely due to a lack of distribution.

You wouldn't have to stretch your budget much for a used ECD-1... If you could find one. :drool:

With any luck, one of the athletes I coach will have a hell of a weekend at regionals this weekend and I won't be available 6/14 & 6/15... NCAA Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. But if I'm honest here, because of coaching I haven't had a free weekend since January so finding the motivation to do much of anything may be a challenge.

Almost all my time off is used for coaching, so I rarely get to go fun places. Having said that, one of the athletes I coach had a hell of a season and as a result I get an all-expense paid 4-day trip to Tallahassee for NCAA Regionals. First time in Florida. And if she does well there I'll be going to Des Moines two weeks after that for NCAAs. And that's it for the summer... The rest of my time will be spent making up all the work I've been missing.
