  1. Yup... Torrents are floating around. Sadly you must bring yourself to include Guitar Hero in your search to find the right one. There are also two versions of "Suicide and Redemption" in the .flac with J.H. for one with a James Hetfield solo based one and with K.H. for a Kirk Hammett solo based one. My experience leads me to believe I'll prefer the J.H. one.
  2. My post from the WAYLTRN thread:
  3. Well, they definitely are better with Cookie Crisp than flats, though I do admit that I prefer flats with Frosted Flakes.
  4. No, I prefer bowls on the RS-1s that are listenable. The ones that aren't, which is a majority, sound like poo with flats or bowls. I haven't heard a setup with later RS-1s that didn't sound muddy and congested with flats or bright as hell with bowls.
  5. I was responding to this: The problem is there's enough he doesn't like about the Grado sound that it might be time to look elsewhere. If he's looking for a "slower" Grado with a smoother presentation and wider soundstage, what does that leave in the Grado line-up in his price range? Nothing. The HD-600 might be an alternative that would address his issues with both the 225 and MS-2i.
  6. Why don't you recommend some KEFs while you're at it
  7. x2 It seems to have found a good balance between stand-alone episode enjoyment while moving the over-arching story along and building the characters.
  8. I don't think the late-model buttoned RS-1s sound good with anything, B22 included. Good luck!
  9. While woodying MS-2is may give you more of what you're looking for, it sounds like the HD-600 is more of what you're looking for. Not super fast, but faster than the 650 and I'd say close to my woodied HF-1s. Smooth treble response, though a bit more forward than my woodied HF-1s. Definitely a headphone that's technically superior to the HF-1 and lower Grados... Hell, probably to all Grados... A well-rounded phone for all genres, IMO, and certainly a more "speaker-like" presentation than you'll get from a Grado.
  10. A good night of FOX TV... "House" & "Fringe".
  11. She's the only artist I know who has to go backstage before encores to re-draw her eyebrows!
  12. Yet it will all be rebuilt, only to be destroyed again.
  13. Is it too soon to suggest that now might the time to pick up some property on the Gulf Coast of Texas for cheap?
  14. Parallels is like an emulator, so you'd be running OSX and then running Windows inside of it. With Bootcamp you choose the OS on startup, and that's the OS until you shut down. If you'd be doing any work with ACAD I'd guess Bootcamp would be better.
  15. Happy Birthday!

  17. Got up, walked and fed the dog, fed the cats, went out for a mocha and cinnamon bun, walked the dog, watched football, patched some drywall in my bathroom, primed some of the new chair rail and beadboard wainscoting in the bathroom, walked and fed the dog, fed the cats, watched more football, cooked dinner and am now trying to get motivated to do laundry.
  18. Audrey Ryan - Dishes & Pills Audrey Ryan Home MySpace.com - Audrey Ryan - Bar Harbor/Somerville/NYC - Indie / Rock / Experimental - www.myspace.com/audreyryan She's a (fairly) local artist playing at a tiny small local club in downtown Portsmouth tomorrow night, so I checked out some samples and really liked what I heard. She's opening for someone else, so it will probably be a nice short set should I decide to go.
  19. Speaking from experience, I assure you that you do not
  20. Completely different material... Flats are firm like Maria Sharapova's ass the bowls, where comfies are a much softer foam. Though I would guess the hole added to comfies would still be an improvement. I almost did this to my MS-1s before deciding to sell them.
  21. I LOL'd!!1one
  22. I don't see any need for a ban. Nor do I think someone's behavior elsewhere necessarily warrants immediate attack mode. However, advice given here (and there) has fallen on deaf ears and I'm not hopeful that this will end well.

  24. +1 for honesty.
  25. I missed said claim. indeed. I am deeply offended! Yeah, I'm not sure "silly" is the term I'd use to describe that exam
