Multi-tasking is one of the things I like about WM smart phones over the iPhone. Having Opera open checking an address, Google Maps finding it and my location via GPS, having my email up and WMP keeping my music going is very nice. It's nice to hear that the Pre has implemented this well, as the task switching for WM isn't always the easiest.

Season 1 of Weeds bordered on realistic... Woman's husband dies, she deals to stay afloat, gets into trouble with local dealers, the moral dilemmas of dealing while wanting to remain a responsible mother. It has since spiraled out of control into a show with few likable characters, no roots in reality and fewer and fewer laughs. Not sure I'm going to bother checking out the new season since it was a fight to get through last season.

A quick search online hasn't yielded any helpful results.. I picked up a refurb T40 a while back. The last few days I've had issues where the video would cut out completely, or the display would get distorted, looking as if there were a bunch of the same images just barely offset. It always happens when handling the laptop or when typing. It can be manipulated by applying pressure on the case. Sometimes a bit of pressure tweaking the case can make it come back completely, or at least get it to the point where I can save what I'm doing. I'm guessing it's the display adapater, which AFAIK is integrated and non-servicable. But I thought it was worth seeing if there was anything else I should look into first before toying with a tear-down looking for loose connections. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, it's pretty exciting.

Gave my notice. Not really easy when you work in a 2-man office, and while I've only been here for 4 years, I've known the guy almost 9 years. He took it well, and seems happy for me for the opportunity I have in front of me. So the countdown officially begins... I finish up here July 2nd and start the new job on July 6th.

No, unfortunately it's all white, and next on the list for demo and reno. It's a decent size, but horribly set up and awkward. Ceiling needs to come down, closet needs to come out and new drywall, heat and a new closet. And paint, of course! It'll be a combo space with a guest bed, extra storage and a desk for when the GF takes grad classes in the fall. At least that's the plan.

Since December a small room in my condo has been the catch-all room while my kitchen renovation has been going on. It was tucked out of the way, and just got stuff piled in it, on top of the stuff I already stored down there. Clean clothes, dirty clothes, ski/snowboard/tele gear, hiking gear, biking gear, paint, drywall, tools, extra parts from Ikea. Well, the girlfriend's moving in later this summer, and needless to say, that wouldn't fly. And her mother is visiting from out of town, so I figured I'd get started cleaning it up. So what did I do? I bit off waaaaay more than I could chew. Going on 3 hours now, and a lot is squared away, but I have lots left to do. Everything got pulled out so I could go through it. I couldn't really go at it any other way, since the space is small and there was so much in there. Unfortunately that means that everything is in such disarray that I can't stop until things get significantly better. Ugh. Well, that was enough of a break... Back to work.

My girlfriend's contract with AT&T is up next month, so this works out perfectly for her... $99 for 8GB, more space than her 1GB shuffle for music, she can get rid of her horrible, horrible phone, and everything else is just a bonus.

I don't know who here's into Doom and Funeral Doom, but I just came across Remembrance's Silencing the Moments and am liking it quite a bit. It's slooooow, atmospheric and heavy, and quite interesting.

"The wrongness of this is so large!" Best, most Buffy-like line yet so far. Yeah, just getting to the finale. I thought "Man on the Street" and "Haunted" were the most poignant of the series. My only issue with the show is Helo is a horrible, horrible actor. His wooden reading of lines didn't bother me on BSG... Here? He's awful. Simply awful. And while it goes without saying, I Amy Acker. She's spectacular, spectacular.

I had a chance to see these before Nate brought them west and they looked and sounded great. It was the best I've ever heard 225s sound, which have never really impressed me before. Glad you're enjoying them!

This is why I have to be such a hard-ass on people using headphones on the infield at meets. While it doesn't look like she has any one, it's the reason you're not supposed to use them.

My cat likes to bite... well, gum... my bowls on my HF-1. So I've had to wash them a few times. And it's pretty amazing the difference it makes. They soften up quite a bit and have the best balance of comfort and sound. To my ears, anyway.
