    Perfect songs.

A good sign is when you read the thread title and songs pop into your head immediately... If you have to think about it too long, then there's a chance the song isn't as perfect as you'd think. For me? Neko Case - "Hold On, Hold On" from Fox Confessor Brings the Flood Opeth - "When" from My Arms, Your Hearse I'm guessing there are other's I'd think are qualified, but that would take time for me to think about it, and that's something I've been short of lately.
  2. Thanks everyone! All things considered, a pretty good day. And the photos? They killed me... Thanks!!!

    Battlestar Galactica

Dear postjack, We regret to inform you that your opinion is wrong. The finale sucked... Big time. Please revisit your opinion and get back to us. Sincerely, Plot, Pacing and Closure
  4. Neko up at the cabin last weekend...
  5. Good to hear... I have it and have been meaning to check it out.
  6. DSO is f'ing great. That is a hell of an album. They're recording the follow-up now. Or recently finished. I can't remember. Yeah, Plague of Butterflies is an intense song. 30+ minutes, lots of variation, moments of melodic beauty that offset the heaviness... The rest of the album is pretty solid, too.
  7. It wasn't the right time to catch the Dead... I guess if you catch one of the releases right, though, it's pretty amazing.
  8. Looooooong drive back from a friend's bachelor party weekend, white water rafting the Kennebec and paintball. It was a lot of fun, and now I need another weekend to recover from my weekend!
  9. Sorry to hear that. It's never easy. I adore my dog and both cats, and dread the day...
  10. I really like the new one...
  11. Whatcha think? I reaaaaally like that album. Dark an menacing, all while being fairly quiet and understated.
  12. Mine are on their way as well. I have #9 on loan, so I'll get a chance to compare the first batch to the later batch and make sure I'm happy with them. Then it will be time to plan the mods. Hmmmm... I don't mind the cable length, or the thicker cable from the split down... But I do find the thicker cable from the split up a bit awkward. As anyone with experience with Grados knows, the part from the cup to the split rarely stays straight, and the thicker cable means more pressure on my cheek, neck or wherever it hits at the bend.
  13. Doesn't matter how you found it... Just that you did. She's great! As for me, I'm through about half of Mad Men's first season.
  14. 3 K-Cups from Gloria Jean's Gourmet Coffee. Trying some new flavors and a new brand with new coffee maker.
  15. And north!
  16. Drove for the first time in 2 days... I can definitely get used to this whole walking to work thing!
  17. You did make a big deal out of nothing. Those who either owned or had seen them in person all said there was no issue, and you beat a dead horse and riled up the masses. The fact you wouldn't let it go kept the discussion about imagined deficiencies didn't help one bit. I only took you off my ignore list because you rendered that thread all but unreadable as you posted (and were quoted) multiple times per page.
  18. Day 1 of HR orientation at the new job. My mind is sufficiently numb. Ugh. At least we got out a bit early.
  19. Directed at anyone else? I'd agree. Directed at a stirrer-of-shit? Appropriate.
  20. Now THAT is a quality first post! Welcome to Head-Case.

  22. I don't know... Seems appropriate so far.
  23. Or it could be that they wanted a deeper chamber (and the associated benefits) without adding depth to the cup? Ummm, because I was quoting parts of your post?
  24. Well, with wonderful comments like that, you're certainly not going to get a smaller wood cup from the people here who make them for fun, which includes he who made "these big chunky incarnations".
