Im wondering if any of you padders have the same little glitch as I : When I click on the "go to last post read" button on the new posts page, I have to click it twice. It seems to do it on a number of other links here too. Anybody else experience this?

I think the word "audiophile" tends to have a meaning that just doesn't jive with the nature of the market at the moment. We're audiophiles here, and it's obvious that we don't quite fit the mold of the traditional meaning of the word. The market has changed dramatically; audiophilia just hasn't sorted itself out in response yet. Working on it.

Just got some beyer T1, T5p and T 50p cans for test. The T5 is relentlessly bright ... unlistenable. You can polish that turd all you want with eq, but it's still gonna stink eventually. The T50 is a bit better, but it's still too bright. Id sell the T5 as soon as you can while theres still suckers out the who havent read all about it. Go get some Sennheiser PX 200-II for your portable, and blow the change on beer. Youll be happy.

And that you've been extraordinariry generous with your time given to the hobby; and have brought as much to it as any one I can tHink of. And that a coule of times, out of the blue, you'd PM me with some gadget or other that I might need for the lab ... and, poof, I'd have a cool, well built gadget show up that would be very useful. And that I just love being involved in something that you were. And that in troubled times I'd get the urge to call you and our talk would make me feel better ... even though there wasn't much you could do about the problem itself. And that I love you, man. I've almost never seen the cable be the problem. That damn spring is pain in the butt. Some years ago they changed the spring so that it was stiffer, but they still fail...though much less.

Hm...I don't think I've said it before, so I will now: There's a big motorcycle board I'm on which recently suffered an exodus. It was a rowdy place where most anything was okay. But the site owner, due to the large amount of grab assing turned asshattery, started to get phone calls and people showing up at his front door bitching about other people grab assing with them. Drama on steroids. So they clamped down on the rules to make the place a little more civil. Of course, all the fucking funny people left and started their own board. Invite only. What they didn't do at the new board was put a strong ban hammer in place, and it's apparent to me that all that really happened is the shit stirring moved from one place to another. Also, because there's no back door, and anyone there can invite anyone they want, the place is growing like a weed ... I think it's doomed to recreate an old pattern. It's not fun to think of the need for a wide open back door, but I swear, it's what makes this place so clean and noise free. Sure, some innocents get popped in the head from time to time ... such is the price of freedom.

I broke down and got a new line and a Verizon iPhone. Cool toy. I think it does media better than the Droid (no Netflix app on Droid sux), but I think the Droid is the more versatile and quicker to navigate phone. Also, iPhones don't seem to hook up to my gmail contacts? That sux.
