  1. Between the LCD-2 changes and the Beyer Tesla line changes I think the measurements are having their impact. Makers just can't do stuff without it being seen. That's cool. Gonna be a tussle for a while though.
  2. Well, fuck me. I talked to those guys and they flat out told me there was no changes, just the pads. Glad I haven't written the review yet.
  3. Got a link?
  4. Happy Birthday, Greg. Older is better. (We all say that.)
  5. What's a nub? I'm so un-hip.
  6. Thanks guys! I'll start looking into them. More thoughts welcome.
  7. Somebody post who has the "welcome" link. Lurk, dude.
  8. I'm just not into computer games ... I guess I spend to much time at the keyboard and really want to go ride my motorcycles. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think I need to review gaming headphones and I don't want to be completely talking out of my ass ... so I've got to get into some game or other. The one game I did like was Microsoft Flight Simulator. Well ... it's not really a game, is it. And the audio was useless for testing. So, I'm looking for recommendations for a game that's got good audio for testing gaming headphones. I like flying around, but I'm thinking not too many flight games are that interesting audio-wise. Still, that would be my preference. I tend to think a first person shooter will likely have the audio experience I need for testing, and I could go their pretty easily. It should probably be a game that has cred with gamers so that when I talk about my experience gamers don't think I'm a douche for playing something lame. Mac or PC is fine. Not really interested in gnome kings and wizards ... I'm more the hard Sci-Fi techno geek. I thought Halo wasn't too bad. Didn't like all the time below ground, though. Doesn't really have to be a shooter, but I would think that's where all the gamers want good audio. Like I said though, I don't know shit about gaming, feel free to edumacate me.
  9. In late, Happy b-day Crappy!

  20. Drivers are in polarity, mind you.
  21. The others measured damned good though. But none would I rather have at the Tiki bar in the cool of a tropical beach ... with dancing girls and little umbrellas. Ooooooh they're so nice.
  22. ^^^Nice. Awesome first post dude ... yer so fucked.
  23. I'm tellin' ya, it's friggen wierd, I really enjoyed them and the measuremnts are abysmal. Here's the .pdf: http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/WharfedaleDIYModifieddBel84HP1.pdf
  24. Oh ... my .... fucking ... God!!!! Mr. dBel84 is the fine, fine, fine fine fine gentleman who has sent his MOST exquisite DIY Ortho headphones in to me for the article I mentioned above. I swear, I bow dude. I love your headphones. Their sweetness in my life over the past week has been extreme. THose portables with the hand stitched lambskin pad and ... what was it again .... "gruelingly carved and sanded" ear pieces was spectacular. Fuck! I can get behind writing about those! I did in fact. I about lost my head with your Zebrawood Wharfedales: They measured like shit .... but I loved the sound. When a hobbyist misses the mark technically, he's stilll got a headphone that sounds good. When a dumbass manufacturer misses the mark, they got a snazzy looking headphone named after a rapper that sounds like shit because no one has been listening to it seriously. Hi Donald! Okay, I'm out, nighty night.
