  1. More like apples and jet skis.
  2. Hd 650 if you just want to keep listening to the lovely music. HD 800s if you want to spend the next year figuring out how to make them sound great...which they can.
  3. Muckay, been a while I guess.
  4. Um....I thought the adapter only took a S and mad it a P. I don't think you can turn a P to an S with an adapter
  5. Ha e you done the mod, Doug? Do eet!
  6. Wow! Some amazing images at "22 Unbelievable Places".
  7. HBD Kevin! Thanks for carrying the torch...er...soldering iron for so many.
  8. Have you tried the Momentum, Shelly? Sony MDR-1R?
  9. Awww...poor doggie dog.
  10. Man, I'd hate to start thinking of life in the US as becoming more like it is in some places in the Near-East. But there it is. God I hope we can make peace. Good thoughts to those hurt, and glad to hear so many hear close but unscathed.
  11. This is an hysterical thread.
  12. They're so damned expensive though.
  13. Thanks for your comments, Al. I won't shill for pageviews, so here's my response there: I reckon my perception of the difference comes from having them side to side, and in listening my preference seemed pretty clear to me. Don't think the measurements are telling the whole story...don't think they ever do, TBH. They both have their merits, and I do like the more refined sound of the 650. I think with proper care and feeding (see your comments on cables and balanced/really good amps, which I agree with) the 650 might surpass the 600 for me, but I haven't really sussed that out. I agree, both these cans play well above their price in today's market.
  14. I'd wish you a great day, but greatness gathers around you spontaneously. So, I wish you joy and satisfaction. Enjoy!
  15. Seems to me, given the size of the driver, that this tech is more appropriate for in-ear and on-ear cans. I don't know how big this driver can get given that it looks like it's built sort of like a chip. Am I missing something?
  16. Thanks for the bump, guys. I guess it's obvious I'm in the HD 600 camp, but they're both really nice.
  17. HBD Fitzy!!! Tell that hunk of yours to take you out to do something fun!
